I have a laptop with a lcd monitor on it, just bought a seperate LED 20inch monitor and have it hooked up via VGA. I notice that blues appear purple on the LED and I have messed around with the calibration settings but I cant come close to fixing this issue... I also notice a group of faint lines slow going down the screen... I dont notice the lines at all when I hook my xbox up to it though. I dont have a DVIout on my laptop but I do have a HDMI so I ordered a hdmi to dvi-D cable to hook them together... will this fix my problem? is my LED monitor just screwy? I think tomorrow is the last day I can return it if so.... coloring is very important since I do freelance graphic design so I need my colors to be spot on...
I have both, And I kind of agree, I rent a lot for both though because I got a game pass... but if I ever do buy a game, its for the 360. but I still rent some ps3 games and I do use it as my primary dvd player and use the Blu Ray a lot.
shhhoooot I took my sweet time doing side quests, working odd jobs, etc... took me about 25-30 hours... which im happy with considering i rented the game then took it back when i was done(got the movie/game pass).
aight so I took it back and got a new Pro 20gb version and sold it to my friend along with my Wii, upconverting DVD player and old computer for $1,150 so now i can make some payments on a couple credit cards and pick up the new 60gb PRO.... hopefully everything goes smoothly...
OK, so my Pro that I got in September 2006 just went out on me but I still got 1 month left on my Gamecrazy warranty... so I can take it in and get a BRAND NEW PRO with hopefully no troubles...
BUT I have been thinking about selling my xbox to a friend and updating to the Elite... I guess my question is, is it worth it? I have a 1080p 42inch JVC and with Gears2, Fable2, RE5, NBA 2k9, Madden coming out soon you best believe I will be playing it a whole lot.. don't the newer pros have the HDMI built in? and do they up-convert DVDs because of that reason? or should i take a loss on this and buy an elite? any opinions......
If it helps at all I had a 40inch 720p Samsung and traded it in for a 42inch 1080p JVC and the JVC blows it out of the water.... and its a older model lol, but i couldnt be happier.... I dont even have Blu Ray to enjoy the 1080p yet lol...but everything looks better on this tv.... And ive had two 37inch 720p Vizios and that Samsung and now this JVC within the last year.... just saying....
I love RTS games, I bought Age of Empires 3 and my computer can barley run it....lol, but there arnt many ones I care for at all on consoles which kinda sucks because I would buy one..... if it was worth it.
