Simply put...no. It will die off just like Call of Duty and Assassins Creed in a few years. I-for-one have been playing Mario for the SNES and N64 because those were the true Mario games.

One hundred years is too much of a stretch to predict, but what makes you think it'll die off in a FEW years??

As far as I know there's only three games that REALLY continue off each other (Skyward Sword to Ocarina of time to Wind Waker), but you can still play any one of them in any order.

Nah, you're wrong. Majora's Mask is a DIRECT sequel to Ocarina of Time (featuring the same Link) and Phantom Hourglass is a direct continuation of Wind Waker. Also, Spirit Tracks is kind of a successor to Wind Waker/ Phantom Hourglass.

They're making it so a child can play it and do well

It's Nintendo once again making their games play themselves

Yes because a child could play World of Warcraft and do well. That game has auto-walking too, and it's a feature that is quite common in many mmo's and rpg's with massive worlds in which the player must travel long distances. All it does is hold the "W" button for you (or in this case, pushes the thumb stick) so that it doesn't become cramp. As for the horse not running into trees... come off it. If the horse ran into trees constantly, that wouldn't make it hard, just frustrating for all the wrong reasons. Look at Skyrim, for example, when your horse gets stuck that is NOT fun. This just shows superior path finding.

It's fun. My memory is a little shady on this game, but I do think it was better than Skyward Sword. Of the five 3D zelda games, I think it has the most epic tone, and the story itself starts off fantastic but falls off half way through. The over world is mostly bland, so if you were looking for a game that encourages exploration, you will be disappointed. The dungeons are fun, and each is unique to each other, but they are easy. The whole game is pretty easy and straight forward, in fact. (Except for the ****ing Water Temple). The combat, at least in the gamecube version, is the best in the series. Overall, it's a fun game, but one that I would only play through once.

You are right to get the gamecube version over the Wii version by the way. Wii controls were tacked on and completely ruined the combat which was designed with a controller in mind.

To be honest, I don't know. I didn't agree with it at first because I thought the issue was a lot smaller then I now realize it really is. Maybe I was naive, but I thought it was a simple bug or server side issues that would be fixed rapidly... I was wrong. Beyond that, it isn't the only issue with the collection. It crashes constantly during H2A. I don't trust the "Save and Quit" function as I've lost my progress twice now. If you jump during Halo CE multiplayer even a fraction higher then usual you instantly die from falling. They ported the PC version of H2 which was a broken product in itself and many of it's bugs are now present. There are hitscan issues... the list goes on. Oh, and Halo 4 isn't even the latest version of that game. It's the pre-patch build.. wtf were they thinking? So yeah, Gamespot's score is justified.

Oh well. I'm still enjoying it, and for that reason it will always be a 10 in my books :P

I didn't say avoiding the patch was the answer. I hate that I had to wait almost an hour before i could play because of it. I should be allowed to skip the patch and play the campagin and THEN choose to update later when I'm NOT trying to play. lol

Thank you for the your answer, though.

I hope not. I don't want the xbox brand to be tarnished even more by bugs, and terrible match-making and constant crashing in a Gear's collection like we have for MCC.

So I downloaded a new patch yesterday, against my free will. I just wanted to continue my campagin by myself... I didn't even had gold! I couldn't play it after all because it took 40 minutes before it even allowed me to play and I wouldn't have had time to finish the entire level in one go. (Checkpoints do not work. If I save and quit, I have to restart from the same level all over again. That's a huge issue... before I was saying match making was the only issue? I was dead wrong. Halo 2A crashes all the time!) Anyway, I don't want to subscribe to gold until the match-making issue is fixed. I heard the patch basically did nothing to fix it? Teams are still imbalanced, and it still takes an absurdly long time to find matches? Can anyone confirm this?

Also, yes I know I can take my xbox offline to avoid the patch, but by the time it tells me theres a patch, it's already too late.

Don't tag Gamespot

If half the game doesn't work (the MP half) then why shouldn't it be rated down? they rate the game that they have, not what it will be

No they rated the game down to shame the 1000's of people that worked on the game over that years. Over something that will be fixed.

Countering all of their original AAA scores.... All 4 of them for a game that cost 60 bucks. That's not honest.

Play it.... then 6 it.

They did play it, or at least tried to, and found it deserved a 6. Get over it.

I'm over it.. are all the 1000's of people that worked, to bring this collection over the years over it?

I'm just saying I couldn't do it. That's just me.

If they're upset about it then they can speak for themselves. They don't need you speculating about their feelings

Quit your bitching

I'm a member on this board.... I call bs when I see it. You know that by now. I'm usually right. I'm 100% right, right here.

How can you take the work of 1000's of people and shit on it over something that will be fixed?

He could have gave it a placeholder score... like most reviewers... until the issues are fixed. No he glass half emptied the game... over something that will be fixed.

There's nothing logical about that with the amount of content that is available in the game.

That is a pessimistic review .... that holds zero merit.

Especially after the content is fixed. Instead of going back later and amending the review if it wasn't fixed. He basically said they can't fix it with his score.

There is nothing honest about that...

BS? like that time you called out gamespot/digitaldame that they were being paid off in their FH2 review....

He reviewed the game as it is. Perhaps next time Bungie should make sure their game works before releasing it.

Just correcting you on something, not to prove a point or anything but just to clear up your misconception. Bungie no longer has anything to do with Halo. Halo 4 and beyond are being developed by 343, including this collection.

I'd say yes, now is certainly the best time to buy it. Now there are plenty of great, unique and fun games on the system.
