Gamers are the true and only winners by the end of e3, by the end of the week's events we're all left with more great gaming possibilities across all platforms. E3 is a celebration of our collective hobby...gaming. We should be celebrating the successes of all the platforms more then we do, companies make mistakes and should be let known when they do, but then it goes to far and people start fanboying hard, and it's like, "dude we're talking about video games, not life and death". We have more in common with each each other as gamers then our perceived differences as Sony fans or Xbox fans. Video games are awesome, play where you want, this very quickly turned into a rant and apologize, this is all just my opinion, take it as such.
Good Games can be found in every gen of gaming, and the 360 has a lot of gems, and whether you play them on 360 or play them on Xbox1, they are still worth playing. It's also very nice to be able to upgrade to a new system but not abandon those games that you either haven't had the chance to play yet, or are only half way through and still want to finish, or those games that are your absolute must play favs. Good games are good games
I'm looking forward to the possible future of this service, $10 a month is pretty reasonable and if they support it as well as the back combat program this could be very awesome.
@inebriantia: Here in Canada (in my area) there are very, very, very, few places to rent games, and gamefly is (to my knowledge) unavailable. So on the surface this game pass sounds pretty cool, obviously I will wait until full release before making a final judgement
If this works out I see this as a way to (digitally) rent games (sort of). It sounds like EA Access but with more than just ea games. Hopefully I can see what it's like soon through the insider program
Netflix has been crushing it with the marvel shows, Daredevil, Luke Cage, and Jessica Jones have all been very good and Iron Fist looks just as good as the rest. Defenders late this year is going to be awesome, it's Netflix's Avengers
The life (and possible death) of the switch will be determined by the games, the price is a bit high for me, here in Canada it's $400, so I will wait for more games and maybe a sale or price drop. But having said that, I kind of like it, to me the switch seems more of a regular console since the gamecube days. I know there is some limited motion stuff with the joycon but it looks optional in most games, aside from the games built to use those features. Time will tell, for the moment the launch looks a bit rough with a high price and few games, good luck Nintendo, I hope you have a successful launch
Making a game is hard, hard work, and it takes more than money. The cancellation of Scalebound didn't happen overnight, it went over the course of month and months and months of problems of all kinds (a lot of which we don't and never will know). My guess, this only my opinion not fact, but my guess is that Platinum had 2 giant games competing for time and money etc, Scalebound and Nier. both of those games needed (no, demand) Platinum's full undivided attention for them to succeed. So for know it's disappointing, I was looking forward to Scalebound but i'm not going to start raging at microsoft or people, for know my hope is that maybe in the coming months something awesome gets announced and we can all relax again.
