@Thanatos2k: You're confusing aim assist and aimbots. Aimbots are cheats that rarely get banned by Fairfight etc. BTW. I love the link. Much research and studying (His words) gets you $400 of unassembled components. Set aside some assembly time. Add whatever it is to get a legal copy of Windows as well as the time for installation and updates (Forgot that in the price). Add a joystick or Mouse/Keyboard too. Forget adding a 4k BluRay drive ... you'd be looking at close to $800 end price if you did. Ignore aesthetical comparsions between the One S and the huge, whirring box in the link. Ignore that both machines played Rise of The Tomb Raider at 1080p and that the $400 (Without OS and controller) will be obsolete within a year. Yeah, I lied when I said that a console represents incredible value for money and you can't get anywhere near that with a $300 PC.
@Thretosix: Really? Are your reading skills that bad? Where did I say Windows crashes were software related? Where did I suggest that you can't buy games - digitally or otherwise? You are totally in denial if you claim that many PC games aren't simply ported from console versions, and that due to hardware differences in PCs, it's impossible to get games running as smoothly across the board. I PC game - on a regular basis - because there are many games I can't get on consoles.... I come across aimbot trolls more often than I like, and I still experience frame jags and freezes...
@Thanatos2k: Oh please. Opinions are welcome, but try and leave an interesting one instead of just spouting verbal nonsense. Console are way cheaper. For $300 you get a gaming machine that upscales to 4k, has a 4k BluRay player, a controller, TV in, streaming capabilities and more. It's incredible value for money, and you can't get anything near that for the equivalent in PC. Xbox Live is $6 a month (Less with deals) and I've never, ever seen an aimbot in 13 years of Xbox and PS gaming. That fee includes 4 free games a month and server experiences are way better than when I was PC gaming. Console games are obviously optimised for consoles, so crashes are very, very rare. Bugs .... yes. Crashes...no.
@deadmarv: Not because of that, no. Well not just because of that. You're a common garden variety troll, but as long as it entertains you who am I to judge?
@Lacerz: IF you have a $600 PC (Or quite a bit more if you want to watch a 4k Bluray) capable of playing Xbox games available on the $300 Xbox, and you can handle some shoody PC ports, and don't get irritated by the occasional hacker using aimbots, and you can find a server that is populated, as well as understand that you'll probably have to get a new GPU within a couple of years and you either have a desk to put your mouse and keyboard on or don't have a problem with a big PC box in your living room.... Then yeah ... I agree .... you'd be stupid to buy an Xbox.
@Thanatos2k: Why wouldn't you play them on consoles? They're way, way cheaper and you don't have to deal with hackers, aimbots and windows crashes. You know that all players on the server have the same equipment (Even playing field) and there are no problems finding servers that are full and stable. Games are optimised for the console, and PC often has to deal with shoddy ports and unoptimised games. Mainly for me, I just like to lean back in my chair and use a joystick - I can't do that with a mouse and keyboard even if it is a better control method.
@deadmarv: Quality post. You obviously have a future as a scriptwriter. If leaving your safe place from under your bridge doesn't scare the bejesus out of you that is....
@Lacerz: So you're confirming what I said; Dead Rising (And Tomb raider ... forgot that one...) are not available on PS4, and no release dates have been set?
