Definitely higher than a 7 in my book, some of the criticisms in this review just don’t add up “Not a place you’d want to live” didnt stop other apocalyptic series scoring higher.
Good characters, gory scenes - some genuinely shocking - only add to the realisation that people on the surface are in full survival mode, great visuals and a good soundtrack.
Hellblade in between should be good for a few hours, but that's it this year. How many more "the games are right around the corner" and "wat u don't pleh indie gamez?" does Microsoft have left in them before all good will is lost?
You mentioned 3 games in a year…on GP. You forgot Forza 8. There’s also Towerborn, Avowed, ARA history untold and Indiana Jones coming this year. All on GP. That’s 8.
Meanwhile Sony - In that same window - are offering one game in two years….at full price. Not sure how much more you think MS should be releasing in that time.
Seriously, what’s the point? No doubt Sony will talk about 3x the power or whatever, but the difference on screen will be minimal, and no games will be made to take advantage of the extra power. Same applies if Xbox launch an XsXx (?).
Even next gen consoles seem pointless at this point, especially with chip costs rising.
Opinions and all, but Barbie was probably the worst movie I’ve seen this year. Putting it ahead of Oppenheimer or Killers of the flower moon is more approval of the message than the entertainment value itself.
What's there to mention or congratulate?? They failed last gen and are failing this gen. Halo is falling off and Forza is pretty much what Gran Turismo is. Sony is still creating and being innovative while Xbox is becoming a renting service that will only hurt the video game industry.
Your reading skills are somewhat lacking. I said he couldn’t even mention the word Xbox, while Phil Spencer congratulates Sony on social media. As far as “creating and innovative“ goes, Sony are releasing 12 GAAS titles before the end of 2025. How creative.
He sounds so bitter - can’t even mention Xbox by name, while Phil regularly talks about Sony games, congratulates them on social media and doesn’t pretend that using “The one that can’t be named” will somehow help Sony’s image.
GP raised prices when they knew a 70bn investment in games was going through - Sony raised and offered some old movies and the option to pay more for newer ones.
