oh yea quake 3 arena on dreamcast :P forgot about that. to answer a few of ur comments yes, it did sell alot more on pc due to the fact that the first halo had multiplayer available & yes i did buy it b/c of it & at the time the idea of multiplayer seemed great cause i can play alot better w/mouse & keyboard.but i found it boring due to lack of cover & concealment. nothing tactical about it. so after a week of online play i moved back to CS & black hawk down. btw the 100+ player game i play is Joint operations. 3 years old now. u can imagine the size has to be in order to support that many players.
everyone says halo is the best thing that has ever happened since sliced bread. my friends rant about it constantly. i'll admit the story is grippping but the multiplayer, it's nothing new. there r other similar games like it but r found only on pc. counter-stirke, UT, quake, doom i can keep this up. the only reason y halo is such a big thing is cause it's the first CONSOLE game that allowed online play, has it's own stat tracker & for the most part it was the only good game on xbox. they get overwhelmed by 16 players on 1 server. ok c'mon now i play 30-100 players online on 1 server. ok my point, halo is nothing new to me. it's only new to those that never played pc games. that's my 2 cents.
pc gaming is too much for them to handle. everyone thinks 360 is the greatest thing ever. got news for them...u can do all that & more on the pc. chat with friends over Team Speak, DL mods for the game, change pieces for the pc & make it better. u can't change a graphics card on a 360. btw tell ur friends they need to go out & party. if i'm not gaming, i'm partying :D
