Sad to hear you're leaving GS. Good luck on your next venture. Very entertaining to watch the both of you and your antics.

As for Bad Company 3, I am not a fan of old war action so that will be a no from me.

Games I'll be playing during the holiday will be Rocket League, Deceit (F2P) and amazingly fun, you can find it on STEAM, and Rise of the Tomb Raider. If I get done with that, moving onto MGS:V. Finally finished the Witcher 3 and I must say, I feel like I'm parting ways with someone that was so close to me. It was a good a game story as the ME trilogy. Invested so much time with the characters and lore, its sad that I reached the end.

Happy holidays to the both of you and party hard!

that zombie PvP mode sounds like PayDay but with zombies

as for GoTY, I haven't played any current year game. About to finish Witcher 3 blood and wine, busy with Squad and RL, and moving onto FallOut 4 Nuka World....i'm stuck in the past lol. But there is a benefit...i get to purchase AAA titles on STEAM for a fraction of the price this Christmas and other GoTY titles being launched, like RE7 Gold!!!

First of all, good seeing you both back again. All others that filled in during the week were great as well. So cheers!

The first loot box system I recall is in TF2. But what makes it different is the ability to dismantle and assemble the scraps from repeat items in order to make a new one. Although majority are cosmetic hats, new weapons were included but could easily be crafted or opened in a loot box. Gwent stand-alone is the same too in the crafting/dismantling mechanic.

But with the loot mechanic EA implemented in SW:BF2 is just bad business. Only way to unlock better star cards is buy purchasing loot boxes which directly impacts the PvP experience? That's just pay-to-win.

As far as categorizing gambling, yes, loot boxes can be a form of gambling. In my opinion, it's only gambling if there is no crafting system involved because at least you can dismantle and accumulate the materials required to craft the specific item you want. So it's not a total loss when you ghet a repaeat item. Otherwise, it's purely left to chance and that in its own definition is gambling.

@moviespot: why blizzard? because of loot boxes in Overwatch? If so, those items are purely cosmetic and does not have an impact on gameplay stats.

otherwise, i'll hear you out
