I agree with her comment about these series relying on their reputation as a stealth game to stay in the genre. *cough* *cough* splintercell. I cant speak for MGS cause ive never played them but for splintercell blacklist, take away 'splintercell' in the title and all you have is a third person shooter VERY similar to ghost recon. (which is not considered stealth)

@ecurl143 They said it was going to be a trilogy from the start so i dont see how 3 games is milking it....

@evil_m3nace It seems very similar to deus ex in that regard. So within one, lets say level, there will be more than one way to do things but the end result will always be the same. Hopefully thats how it turns out anyways, otherwise replay ability will be questionable!

@lazzdamian666 I personally think reach was the best in the series but i agree it should have ended at that. I mean come on, when you're gonna have a "6" in the title its gotten ridiculous

@hystavito Seems to be this new generation of gamers. No patience, no interest in actually having a challenge, and no desire for an actual plot or good story telling. All they want is to shoot things, blow stuff up and make a lot of noise.

This franchise has sadly turned into just another shooter. The original splintercell games were based on the fact that Sam was invisible and basically didnt exist. He would be in and out without anyone knowing he was there but now they have turned it into another run-and-gun. "Splintercell" shouldnt even be in the title...
