@snova9308 Actually according to Sam's bio in the Chaos Theory manual he was born in 1957 making him 50 in Chaos Theory which was the third installment! This is now the sixth installment so chronologically speaking, he should be pushing 65 lolol.
@Steph285 The problem with that comparison is that as you said, James Bond has been changing for 40 years. If this was the third or fourth change for Sam you'd have more pull with that but since this is the first change I think fans have a right to be against it. With your argument you are effectively saying that you'd be ok with ANY character voice change, be it Master Chief, Drake, Marcus Fenix or any other long running iconic character.
Haven't played an MGS game yet so i dont know the characters, but in the gameplay demo they showed (in the hospital) Sutherland was voicing the guy all convered in bandages that was helping you... So who's who!?
Stupid move by Microsoft making Kinect mandatory just for it function. They've effectively made a 2 piece console. I HAVE NO WHERE TO PUT THE KINECT SENSOR. Good golly.
Certainly looks better than conviction but god, the story line is so botched now. Sam was 50 in Chaos Theory making him at least 55+ now so the look and sound of him in this game is just wrong. I can't see why they didnt make Sam the new Lambert and have you playing as a new, younger splinter cell just for a little continuity. But thats just me being a diehard fan of the originals. I assume between this and convition there will be a lot of newcomers to the series who will neither notice nor care.
