@picho86 @robbristow @Allicrombie @nocoolnamejim Yeah, but it'd be even worse without it still, unfortunately the system isn't particularly intelligent in it's filtering so there's problems either way, regardless of whatever rules it's given to abide by from the GS staff.

To be honest, I'm not a fan of livefyre altogether and preferred the 1st party comment system before that, but obviously I don't really get a say in that, I'm only a volunteer, much like the rest of the mod team.

@picho86 @robbristow @Allicrombie @nocoolnamejim There normally isn't someone watching it tbh, but it's something worth doing when an article is getting focussed on still. Thankfully most of what it catches are done so correctly rather than false positives, but there's still easily in excess of 100 false positives in some articles.

@i_noseworthy @Johny_47 Strictly speaking, it's just one fairly large team that deals with everything, people focus on whatever areas they feel like unless requested to focus somewhere by staff. But the comment sections do get moderated, just there's so many that a lot of comments that are never flagged by either users or the system itself slip through the cracks.

@picho86 @robbristow @Allicrombie @nocoolnamejim Several, seems to be a livefyre thing in general, as for specifics, don't ask, even we don't know all the details.

@picho86 @robbristow @Allicrombie @nocoolnamejim Honestly, I'm spending more time allowing things the filter wrongly auto-blocked than I am moderating this, too hard to keep up with when I'm so busy...for some reason that gave me a little chuckle though.

@gufberg There is a lot of comments being auto-flagged/deleted atm, I'm trying to go through and allow the ones that are okay but it's pretty hard to keep up with atm. It is also removing a lot of unacceptable ones too, mind you.

@Synthia @nocoolnamejim Yeah but when you delete your own comments it's automatically queued for permanent deletion so you only have a couple minutes to find and undelete it via the console :P At least accidentally deleting anyone elses comments you have all the time in the world to find and undelete it lol

@SteXmaN They weren't appearing on the page until it was refreshed once for some reason even though comments we're going through just fine, no idea why but it works fine after a refresh.

Yeah but the mod team is volunteers and we're the ones that get to trudge through most of it. That and professional or not it doesn't make personal attacks excusable. Personal attacks are never excusable.
