The console really doesn't matter, it's the software that matters.

I think the point he is trying to make is like the "horse armor" for Oblivion, charging money for every single little thing, no matter how pathetic. I know some of the DLC for Saints Row 2, for instance, was far over priced. But at the same time, DLC for Fallout 3 and Borderlands was fair, as things like Mothership Zeta and General Knoxx were quite lengthy and worth the price. If it's quality, seperate content I think people will buy it.

I wonder if this is a "George Lucas" moment for Ubisoft, where the negative comments and backlash are actually ignored and they just blunder ahead saying, "We're not wrong to ruin this, you're wrong to hate it."

Independent studios always seem to jump at the chance to get bought out by a corporation. It always seems to end the same way. Even so, talented people will find another home. I know if I was in charge at Take-Two, Ubisoft etc. I'd want a list of everyone who worked at that studio, they're experienced, talented people. You're hired.

"for fear of burning out the consumer's interests" I work in the intellectual/creative world, and it would be nice to once hear them say "For fear of burning the staff out."

Far Cry 2 was an excellent game.

The fact this process even had to be done in the first place says a lot. At the same time, I think people's expectations were maybe a little too high. If BioWare wants to spend time fixing something, do something about those "intimate" scenes. The first one I saw in Dragon Age actually made me laugh out loud. I'm still not sure it was serious or a joke.

The only people I hear talking about Wii U are the Gamespot writers.
