Used game sales help poorer gamers play games that garner interest in future sequels, developers and certain genres. That, in turn, leads to new game sales all over again and thus, helps the developers and the studios. If anything, GameStop is helping the industry.
If you're going to go that route, Senator, then why segregate video games? How about lumping in violent movies, books and TV shows? If you're going to go, go all out.
@Lotus-Edge With game ratings nowadays, I feel that instead of being rated a 1-10... it's more of a 7-10. 7 and under being garbage, 8 and 9 being great and 10 being near perfect. Not perfect but near perfect.
