@Elranzer: According to the director of FFXV the main story alone would be between 40-50 hours long, while doing everything would the game has to offer would take about 200 hours . I know developers usually lie about how many hours of content their game has but to be honest, mainline Final Fantasy games and JRPGs in general are pretty much never short games so there is probably some truth to the statement of the director.
Yeah, the Scorpio will be more powerful but what price will it have? Microsoft itself said a while a go that it would be a "premium product" which means its going to be really expensive.
@Azazel29: Please explain why the combat is bad because it actually has potential of being really good. Once again watch the videos I linked to in my previous comment. Every category of weapons has a set of specials that can executed with directional or delayed inputs. On top of that you have also arminger stuff. With that alone FFXV has potential of having quite a lot more depth in terms of combat mechanics than games like the Witcher or Skyrim
@CyberEarth: Errr, I hope you realize that the combat system in FFXV has very little in common with the witcher or Dark Souls. It feels like basically like combination of Kingdom hearts and a Tales of game. I really suggest you learn a bit how the combat system works before making these kind of statements.
@CyberEarth: Just saying but in terms of direction FFXV is mostly the opposite of FFXIII. It is like you said mostly an open world game, its the opposite of being the corridor simulator what FFXIII was. And as far as I remember FFXIII did not have 4 dudes as party members. FFXV may not be extremely innovative but it still tries to take risks and change the formula, something I really appreciate. Not many JRPGs actually do that. Persona 5 is not just completely unoriginal in every single regard, it also still rehashes the very same formula Persona 4 used and ironically nobody criticizes Persona 5 for it. Also fans do not know what they want, specially not a fanbase divisive as the Final Fantasy one.
@Fia1: I am not sure how FFXV could ever go the no man's sky path. No man's sky was such a massive disspointment due to them lying about a lot of stuff and being overall really secretive and vague. SE has been anything but secretive about FFXV.
@cboye18: The guy playing did not use lock on while on the mines, that could be the reason for the wonky camera. FF stopped being "tactical" a long time ago. Ever since FF6 came out its been basically all about spamming the strongest attack you have over and over again and heal yourself from time to time. And I really doubt you can just mindlessly button mash against that demon samurai guy considering he can pretty much kill any of the party members in one or two hits.
@iandizion713: Because outside the road is where the chocobos are meant to be used. On top of that it seems like in this latest build it is not as on rails as it used to be.
@fetcher: Err, the Platinum demo did have skills, atleast in the Iron Giant boss fight, they are just not executed like in Duscae. In order to use a skill you need to do directional inputs with the left analog stick while holding the attack button. For example, while having the greatsword equipped, holding the attack button + down with the left analogue stick will have Noctis use the skill that was called "tempest" in the Duscae demo. There are also skills that can be executed with delayed inputs like the charged attack with the greatsword.
The problem is that you had to discover this by yourself since the demo did not explain any of this.
I really recommend watching these videos, they really explain what you can do in the platinum demo during the Iron Giant boss.
