Valve needs either Half Life 3 or Portal 3 to help move the Steam Machines.

However, Half Life & Portal both were on consoles, so Valve would lose a lot of potential sales by being Steam Machine exclusive.

And to be steam machine exclusive, would mean no PC or MAC either.

It would mean the game would only be playable on Steam OS perhaps?

And as much as they try to push Steam Machine, they wouldn't want to miss out on PC/Console sales for those IPs.

And therefore they then forfeit the whole "killer app" for Steam Machines.

Interesting predicament from a business perspective, if you ask me.

i really wish ubi would just tell us which version we are looking at in all these demos and trailers. it makes a difference imo, to know which game you are looking at. ps3 might perform very differently to ps4, or they might look more similar then we think. i just wish we knew...

@Dinostrich @punkdsk8erdude Thanks! i'm with you about COD. I played 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6. But once i realized 6 was just 4 all over again, and nothing really changed at all between the games, i just got so sick of it. SP campaign was such a disservice too, i was never a huge online player. played WaW and MW2 on XBL for maybe 2 weeks each when i first got them. After MW2 i sold all my COD games.

BF sounds a bit more interesting to me, perhaps more strategic and not as mundane? Maybe i'll give BF4 a try on PS4....

but on a more serious note, graphics look very pretty, but some of the combat looked rather dull. Also, the camera looked very shaky and found itself in some bad spots during the combat. i'm also not convinced that I like the blurring of everything lol. Everything has this 'shaky' or 'blur' effect, so nothing is really focused or sharp.

Fire effects look great though! Except oh wait for that i'll just play InFamous Second Son...

I think Gamespot made a mistake in the listing of this game.

This isn't 'Deep Down' this is Assassin's Creed 5: Dark Souls.

what do they mean they took out one on one fighting? it's no longer a 3d 1v1 fighting game? no local or online VS mode? are these single player 'campaign' missions still done in SC fighting fashion or a whole new type of gameplay entirely? this article is somewhat confusing.

what's the diff between COD and BF?

this is a serious question from someone who never played a BF game, and play COD up till MW2. since then i have grown tired of the games. So what's so good about one or the other nowadays?

@Dannystaples14 if they release a PC version, which Rockstar has historically done, it wouldn't make business sense to ignore the next gen consoles as well given how similar it is to the PC. a PC port of the 360/ps3 could then be ported to X1/PS4 and optimized for better performance.

I'm sitting on a PS4 preorder, i'm a longtime GTA fan with a 360. i could go get the game tonight if i felt so inclined but i don't. i'm going to wait and see if it comes out on PS4, i'd rather my first experience with the game be the best experience with the game. I think Rockstar will release on next gen systems...too big a market share to just pass up when the game could benefit from the hardware too...
