@arupakku: I'm happy they included the "16-bit" visual mode from the 3DS version. That was one of the things I was certain Western gamers were going to miss out on. I've a mind to play through the whole game twice using each graphic setting.

And why not? I played through DQV (3DS) three times just to finish it with each of the three brides. What can I say? DQ is the perfect way to kill massive amounts of free time.

Nintendo just made my year. I went from "nothing on the radar" to "GIMMIE! GIMMIE! GIMMIE!".

Loving the Mario Maker 2 news, I'd have been happy with a port but this looks awesome!

Zelda: Link's Awakening, too good to be true! One the best Zelda games long overdue to be made available in a new format.

Dragon Quest Builders 2, the only game I was certain to buy before this Direct. It looks just as fun and time consuming as it's predecessor.

Finally, Dragon Quest XI! Months of whining like an anime fan on prom night finally laid to rest with this announcement and a solid 2019 release estimation.

Also, there's apparently an AVGN: I & II Deluxe bundle coming for the Switch. NICE!

@Bread_or_Decide: That definitely makes you the exception among internet commentators. All the evidence and elaboration in the world won't sway most people. They believe that they already know everything worth knowing or they only take in information from specific sources, usually ones that appeal to their confirmation bias.

@Bread_or_Decide: True. But then again, what's the point in justifying one's opinions when one engages in debates with pugnacious people who refuse to accept or acknowledge dissenting opinions.

@Sepewrath: Unless they fast-track the U.S. version of Dragon Quest XI, there are no "must-haves" on the upcoming schedule for me, and that almost never happens.

After the last two years, 2019 is looking pretty thin for the Switch. I hope they've got some great surprise games under wraps. I'm underwhelmed at the prospect of another Luigi's Mansion, Fire Emblem, Metroid Prime or Yarn-based game with minimal difficulty. And another Pokemon sounds intriguing if it's more basic in it's game play like Let's Go, Pikachu! and not another text-heavy cure for insomnia like Sun and Moon.

Wii U ports could be nice, especially an upgraded Super Mario Maker. It would sell more units than the Wii U and 3DS versions combined. I'd also appreciate some long-overdue Dragon Quest-related news.

@Bread_or_Decide: Hardly. But the majority isn't always right, and taking their consensus as fact or law is just the lazy man's way of getting around thinking for themselves. You need to realize that everyone is entitled to their own opinion and that "right" and "wrong" don't apply in these circumstances. I also suggest refraining from putting words in peoples' mouths, it robs your argument of it's persuasiveness.

You can cite Rotten Tomatoes as the standard on whether a film is good or not, but don't get upset when some random person online disagrees with you because you're going to spend an unhealthy portion of your life upset over essentially nothing.

While I have many other ways in which to play their current selection of NES titles, I do enjoy the convenience. I mainly subscribed so I could buy the NES-style Joy Cons which are vastly superior to either the default Joy Cons of the so-called Pro Controller, despite their limited usage.

And I've noticed a decrease in lag and session crashing in online play since Nintendo launched their "official" online service, which is something I've been hoping they'd rectify since the console's launch.

@Bread_or_Decide: 50% of the population has an I.Q. less than 100. A high tomatometer score and worldwide box office success are not an indication of quality nor good taste.
