Not everytime, but windows xp is a very old and outdated os, I don't even know why anyone would still use it.deeliman

I still have a machine with XP on it to run programs which don't like 64-bit Windows 7.  Some of my older programs won't even install, let alone run.

I'm an avid learner, but only in topics that interest me.  I consider myself intelligent.

Would you give yourself the pianist award? :P

They still do that?

I washed dishes for a couple of months one summer when I was a student.  Awful work and awful pay.  The only thing that made it worth continuing was the free meal each night.

I really don't understand why someone would go to the trouble of doing this.

5'10", 150 pounds.  I don't consider myself athletic, but I'm probably more fit than average for a person my age, given that I'm doing something active just about every day.

BMI is not accuarate for an athletic build.  When I was heavily active in badminton, my weight climbed to 165 pounds.  But that was the result of muscle-building.  A better measure would be body fat %.

Brahms's Paganini Variations are about the only things he wrote that I really don't like at all.  There are probably some bad lieder in the 300+ he wrote, too, but I haven't heard them all and can't comment.

Never heard Brahms' variations, but Paganini is the man.

He like the variation form and used it a lot, and had a wonderful talent for distilling a theme to its essence and doing something remarkable with it.  The Brahms-Handel variations are one of the finest sets ever written IMO.  And yes, it would have been interesting to hear and see Paganini perform if the accounts are accurate.

Bees usually die when they sting you.  Wasps and hornets don't.  That should be enough to answer the question.  I've only been stung by the latter.

It's astounding that he survived.  And yes, they obviously deserve compensation.
