The positive comments here (wierd the movie review article had 32 comments, this one has 136) convinced me to see the movie last night. Glad I did. I think this is one case where the marketing of the movie was less than the substance & may have hurt the box office results. The trailers seemed to send a sexualized message & I wasn't interested in some shallow "sex is the future" message. Well, nothing could be further from the truth. It's an excellent movie with real substance in all aspects imo. Didn't feel long at all, felt about right.

I think continuing MP from AC6 & improving upon it is also important. AC6 MP was such a unique & enjoyable AC experience, just needed some rough edges smoothed out, mostly in game/map hosting management. MP gameplay itself was pretty solid.

@Pierce_Sparrow: Agreed, Assault Horizon was garbage (didn't get it, first AC version since AC4 I never bought, including PSP version). AC6 had online MP which was new to the series & really enjoyable. I assume AC7 will have MP & hopefully they learned a few things to improve from AC6 like allowing more rules customization for rooms & being able to change maps w/o having to tear down the room, etc....

@Pierce_Sparrow: Agreed. It appears the player was using Novice controls, which isn't great for showing off cool airplane maneuvers since you can't roll the airplane easily with Novice controls. Yes, AC6 + ME is why I bought an Xbox 360 so I might just join the current generation (PS4, XBOne) in 2018 when AC7 comes out.

Been w/Xbox since 12/2002 & Phil Spencer is by far the best Xbox boss. While Microsoft has a long arduous journey to ever return to competitiveness w/Sony, they have been doing the right things since the disaster called the original XBOne introduction & stopped with promoting "me-too" business idiots over the Xbox division. In Phil, they finally appear to have someone who actually has some genuine engagement/experience with the actual business product (game development & gaming) & seems to be genuinely invested in the business vs. just padding his resume for the next executive position.

Faithful Xbox customer since 12/2002. Disgusted by original XBone intro. Refused upgrade. Years later, XBone changes + Project Scorpio + ongoing BC support makes XBone interesting possibility now. W/o BC, not so much. So yes, BC is a definite influencer.

Bioware is officially dead. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted.

Nice show. While I don’t see myself getting a Nintendo Switch, I agree with the analysis. Form following function tends to produce more satisfying results in any design endeavor.

"While I have some personal misgivings over how much I enjoyed such a twisted, unscrupulous game..." Nice to see this. While the individual is the only scope which can perform this introspection, I wonder what, if anything, could be inferred on the whole? I've been gaming for 3+ decades & it seems atypical for games like Okami (or similar) to be created and/or equivalently successful as typical fare such CoD, etc.... My interpretation is that it does reflect human nature to some extent. I'm not suggesting I'm better, just an observation about us as humans. As T2 said, it does seem in our nature to destroy ourselves.
