@barcaazul: The Pro also offers boost mode, so you can get a decent frame rate of around 60 FPS for 1080P titles and increased visual fidelity.

The Xbox One X will likely have an FPS boost but not sure if they will change the content of 1080P visuals like Sony ga,es have done.

@rabih55555: No the PS3 emulator needs more threads to be able to match the thread count of the PS3 and newer AMD / Intel 8 Core / 16 Thread CPUs should have no issue with this when using GPGPU calls and leveraging a decent GPU.

@bejito81: No it isn’t! Ryzen and Jaguar are 100% compatible. Not sure why you guys think this is like the Power Processor in the 360 vs the Xbox One x86/AMD64 chip, it simply isn’t true.

This was about cost the whole way!

@Xristophoros: That’s the dumbest thing I’ve read yet on the CPU. Ryzen is x86 and AMD64, like jaguar, so game compatibility would only have improved with performance. Remember, the super fast cache is gone from the Xbox One X APU.

They went Jaguar for one reason only and that was for the money.

@jumalan75: SSD in 1 or 2 TB editions would have more than doubled the cost of the console.

Also, the CPU is significantly weaker than that of Desktop, offerings as you have noted, and the GPU is a rebadged 480! It isn’t even 100% VEGA as far as we know and the caching technology is actually lacking as well.

I’ve had a Ryzen since launch and that will easily smoke what is in either of these higher end consoles. On top of that, my system RAM isn’t shared with my GPU and the gaming boost that the Xbox One X got has just been included in the Windows 10 Fall update.

Basically, if you want a console, buy it for the exclusive content... If you want the best gaming rig on the market, that’s still a PC!

@Jdzspace: Pfft! Can’t afford a real PC huh? Don’t worry, when you get your own job and move out of mommy’s house, you can maybe save up to buy one.

@sealionact: Yep! Everyone I know that owns the PS4 Pro, purchased it at a local retailer. They skipped Amazon as they didn’t want the 2 day wait and Amazon charges tax as well, so no point in waiting.

So, yeah it is irrelevant at this point in time and we don’t know if it was the best seller in every country, or just the USA.

@sealionact: Nah, the PS4 Pro is doing just fine and didn’t need to be anything more than it was at launch. The visuals in 4K HDR are plenty beautiful enough and you can always use the super resolution at 1080P / 60 FPS, along with your TVs builtin upscaler if you want a good compromise.

4K TVs have yet to reach critical mass and they likely won’t, until cable and streaming services get in line with normal pricing and availability of content. This means that the Xbox One X will likely be untapped potential for most gamers.

@sealionact: Sony said it is coming in 2019, but didn’t say early or late 2019. They will likely have details on the console come E3 next year, even if they don’t have anything to show.

@sodapoppimpski: Nope, Not 3x the cost. That’s a myth! The difference is, I can use my older hardware for my PC Upgrade. I don’t have to spend anymore than the cost of an Xbox One X or PS4 Pro to keep it current and that’s about ever 4 years or so.

On top of that, I don’t have to pay $40 to $60 a year for the privilege to play the online aspects of my games.
