@7tizz: Until you realize that a bunch of them are on the PC and you don’t have to pay for online, then you start to see the Xbox One is a waste of money.

@sodapoppimpski: Nope, Microsoft didn’t have an exclusives edge, half their titles and pretty much, all of the good titles were timed releases.

Meanwhile, Sony did give some sequels and they tried with Until Dawn, Horizon Zeeo Dawn, Drive Club, Knack, The Order (Which wasn’t as bad as people made it out to be), Resogun (they were, actually winning on the Indie side as well). Then there were titles like the last guardian, until dawn, Horizon Zero Dawn, and No Man’s Sky that they were showing off.

Yes there were some flops among these titles, but the promise of these future games and the increase in mathematical capabilities were both the perfect storm against Microsoft.

Remember, people liked to nail the Xbox One as being Incomplete, but the truth is that the PS4 was actually much less complete, when you consider there were basic things like media streaming, 3D BD playback, general features for home entertainment enthusiasts that were missing on the Sony Side and not on the Microsoft Side. As an owner of both, I ended up selling the PS4 launch console and keeping the Xbox One exclusively, until Microsoft started announcing the cross platform exclusive stuff.

@sodapoppimpski: Nope, that’s reality! I used to be 100% behind Xbox One as I didn’t really find many of the early PS4 titles worth playing.

When Microsoft decided that my $500 Launch console wasn’t going to have any exclusive content that wouldn’t be on the PC, they screwed every Xbox One owner, that already had a great PC, out of their initial $500 investment.

Now, the only reason to truly own the console is for the UHD BD player, but even that is only going to carry them so far.

Oh and think about this... You’re now paying a tax to play your games online, and that tax does not exist in the Microsoft PC Environment.

@sladakrobot: No he didn’t! He made the Xbox a game console that I stopped buying games for.

It was the only console I owned at the time and since then, I’ve realized it was a waste of money as my PC was always better than that console, but I couldn’t play several of the games on my PC.

You watch, the initial hype will be there for then Scorpio, but the lack of new exclusives will have people choosing a Switch or PS4 over the Xbox One X in the long run.

@mirahsan2: I just bought Chronicles 1 & 2 for the iPad so I could replay the original and I’m hoping they pull a final fantasy and release most of them on the iPad.

@7tizz: My PC can play those! As good or better! No lying at all, it is reality and it can do that. I have more RAM, more threads per clock cycle, higher GHz rating, a more advanced chip, an SSD, and a higher end GPU.

This Xbox One X is a boosted console without any Street cred.

@sladakrobot: Who cares if it is the Scorpio edition... You can still preorder the console.

Phil screwed the platform and the fans over hard on the exclusive thing and he constantly doubles down on the idea. It’s going to take MS failing out of the platform pretty hard for him to wake up or MS to fire him.

@sealionact: The 360 had heat pipes with liquid in them, that wasn’t supposed to cook either.

@Zicoroen: Oh no, Master Race is the rule. At the very top of the gaming world, there's nothing that will touch the best PC's out there.

Now I get you're trying to say they're the minority so they're not really the master gaming race... Except, even a minority of 25% would be more PC Gamers than either Microsoft or Sony had console players during the peak of the PS3 and Xbox 360 wars.

@Shinnok789: Umm, just because you do, that does not mean others play it that way... In fact, most of the people with dual monitors I know will game across both screens. Some actually have 3 for simulations such as racing games.

Three Screens is 5760 x 1080 and that's not even mentioned on the Steam Survey.

Oh and you have to be chosen to participate in the survey, but it tends to only come with certain games. When I looked at the last 5 surveys they ran, I either didn't own the games, or hadn't played those games in more than 10 years.

Yeah so, I'm sorry but the guy playing DOTA and CS Go likely won't have the same level of a machine as the guys playing Battlefied 1, Crisis 3, Deus Ex MKD, Ashes of the Singularity, or any number of extremely demanding games.

As for me, I have a 4K 60 Hz monitor and I've never once been asked to participate in their hardware surveys.
