is it repetitive ? Yes but not boring ...is it difficult ? yes but still enjoyable. actually ,it's not that bad ,the graphic and design of environment and characters are really good ,my opinion : the developers only focused on pure action and they almost succeeded . 7 of 10, no more and no less.
giving the player all of the super powers known by mankind, jumping higher than a skyscraper, running faster than a bullet, freezing, firing, telekineses, stomping ,running up the walls and etc...NOT necessarily make a better game.and taking all of them from the player(in most of main quests) is even worse ! in my opinion "this game is a mess" it's not better than the previous one in any aspects(other than the graphic).5 or 6 of 10 at the most.
@atsra If (as you mentioned) "a game is able to touch you, to make you laugh, or cry, or fear, then it's a good game, regardless of anything else? " no ,it's not a good game necessarily ,i don't mean to say gone home is bad ,it has good story and atmosphere and etc ,but not a good game ! a good game, first of all needs a challenging game play .a good book or a good movie is not a good game either.this one is a good exploring something ... and that's why some players don't like this kind of genre because the lack of challenge. i hope i made my point by my poor English writing.
It's one of a few games which GS gave it a proper score , luckily its name is "metro" and not "resident evil",otherwise the GS editors may gave it an awful score too!
