Major Changes? Bet he's related to Major Biggs or Lieutenant Wedge.

Anaysts = captain obvious these days.

Anyway, profiting with Vita would be so easy. As a good guy I'll leave here these tips. Unfortunately, I highly doubt Sony execs will ever read them:

- Game prices are exaggerated, specially considering you pay almost the same in "real" consoles

- Drop the console price at least a bit, it's still to high considering the state of the world economy

But fundamentally:

- Drop memory cards prices to fair ones (bro tip: pay attention to this one)

- Finally, treat it with respect by releasing decent games (the so called "console movers", like FF games, Monster Hunter games and whatnot): what built Sony previous console's success was its library, not your exec's beatiful (?) eyes. Currently there just aren't enough good games on Vita to justify having one, even if given for free! (bro tip 2: also pay very close attention to this one)

It's guaranteed that there are people that can make an effort to pay full price for a console and games if they're really worth it. But the current library is so poor that I believe even if the Vita was hacked to the point of being totally wide open to piracy, Vita sales would still keep "sinking".

Learned the lesson over there at Sony, kids (execs)? I wish you did... instead we watch Sony falling (or failing?) each and every day that passes. As one that once was a Sony fan, it makes me really sad :(

@plm3d_basic I just hope Robert's star citizen is at least as good as Freelancer was... I miss playing it so much, but I'm afraid to get disappointed if it hasn't "aged" well should I try to install it on a current gen machine ;)

I wonder what he means by 75% of gamers? If it is 75% of every gamer in the world, it's disappointing that he throws that because I don't thint 75% of gamers in the world ever played Heavy Rain... heck, 75% of gamers in the world don't own or play regularly on a PS3.

Unless you don't consider PC, Wii or Xbox360 owners that don't own a PS3 as gamers...?

If instead he's talking about "75% of the people that played Heavy Rain finished the game", which is more believable, then it's poor phrasing either from him, or from the news editor (I don't know because I didn't hear/read the original phrasing). If it's the last case, then I beg you to be more careful with your writing, as that's a gross case of misinformation.

@Redsyrup It's not the 80's anymore, you know? Hacking is nothing new to a lot.

There are plenty of talented people out there nowadays that have the knowledge and capabilities to do what these dudes did, but choose not to. Believe me, it's tons more difficult to effectively protect a system than to find holes in one, and you don't have to be an *ss h*l* to put your knowledge to good use.

That's the principle of Ethical Hacking: you find the holes, but instead of taking advantage on them (be it political or economical), you instead warn who has the problem, give them time to fix it and then spread the knowledge to the public.

Nothing wrong about selling your services in form of consultancy also, as long as you do it ethically. After all, more and more, employers nowadays realise that to fight a fire you shouldn't hire the arsonist, but the fireman. Think about it ;)

But I'll agree with you if you tell me that big sharks like $ony tend to have the arrogance to think they're untouchable, and failed for that. I'm pretty sure that with the money they have, hiring a few penetration testing companies and following their advices to the letter would have prevented what happened, but they certainly learned that lesson the hard way...

3,5 inch floppy disk, you mean :) Double density disks had abou 880 KB usable space if formatted on an Amiga (720 KB if formatted by MS-DOS on a PC).

Later on, high density disks had about 1.44 MB capacity if formatted (the standard way) by MS-DOS on a PC, don't know if any of the later Amiga machines ever supported them and with what capacity, maybe someone can elaborate further :)

@SteveTabernacle You clearly didn't play this game. Believe me, you'd be surprised, it has nothing to do with the shallowness that unfortunately had come to be associated with this franchise in later years. This one has story, and this Lara Croft feels like a human being.

(Edit: one more thing - although I agree 100 million is too much, either for a game whatever it is, or a movie for that matter... but the game is very surprisingly good indeed)

@taylor420420 Err... that's correct, if you live south to the Equator line. For example, in some countries in Africa and South America it's Fall right now.
