Congratulations to GameSpot for having the courage to criticize the game and not bumping its score for political or other reasons (like they did with d.a. inquisition - worst spent money on a game in recent years that I regret...)
I'll just pass it, haven't got much free time to waste.
(Edited, reason: I had commited a blasphemy and confused D.A. origins with D.A. inquisition)
If overwatch wins GOTY here too like in the Game Advertisements, sorry Game Awards, I'll just quit trying to understand the masses. Now, back to Dark Souls, cya.
@moose-fitz: "Blood and wine cake out in 2016 though so no he's point isn't valid" ... ???
That's precisely because it came out in 2016 that his point is valid.
You could argue "Blood and wine is an expansion, not the original release", and technically you might be correct, but because Blood and wine earned the best RPG award of 2016, it means that the judges or the organisation or whatever who's in charge consider it as valid a contestant for this year. If anyone here is wrong, is the organisation that allowed a 2015 game to earn a 2016 award, but since they dictate the rules... Gbullet's point is indeed valid.
Regarding the comparison between the witcher and the ones that got the other "big awards", I think no one has doubts. I'll just say that if I had decide between getting for free a clothing dlc for witcher 3 or overwatch, I'd go with the former. Wouldn't care about overwatch even if I was paid to play it :) But that's another story.
