my 2p i skim read and noticed some may perceive american football as soft because of the padding - true they pad up, but damn they take some big hits. if they didn't it'd be like "X-TREME fightin' w/ a ball thrown in sumwhurr". american football is cool, but too stop start for me :( plus, wrong country.
Woah Did you really sit down with a mug of java, your favourite visor (including pen on ear) and write a mini-essay trying to disprove the Bible? Anyway, last poster beat me to the punch. I had something witty prepared but I don't really need it!
I played state baseball and football, and I would be training five nights a week, playing games all weekend, so yeah I can associate with burn-out. The only thing for it is to take a genuine break with no contact. You can't really do that, though, because you're mid-season. My advice is just have a word to your coach. If he's receptive he'll bench you for a few weeks (I don't know if wrestling has substitutes ;p) . If he's not, he'll probably slap you upside the head and tell you to get on with it - there's not really much choice other than an ultimatum. You might want to find an activity that you can do in your down-time that helps you relax - walking, or yoga, or something like that. I'm pretty sure that you already know the only real thing for it is to just ride it out. PS: I retired from both sports due to injury, but I was ready to call it a day because the sport I played stopped being fun - at all.
