I'm all for equal rights, but the push for gay marriage really annoys me. Since time immemorial it's been between a man and a woman, union for life. Fair play, that a gay couple might want to make a commitment to one another, but outside of the 'equal rights' argument it's just a title. Give equal rights, sure, but don't give them the title.

Fight for something real, like the reduction of poverty or something. And not sponsor a child programmes, I'm talking about economic and social change.

I had some ice addicts trying to buddy up to me, my girlfriend and her sister in Peru. Was pretty messed up. Kept being all hands-on touchy feely while looking like a bloody derelict.

I'm a Liverpool fan, but I am honest enough to know that we won't take the title this season. On paper, our squad is absolute quality (enough to rival Manc or Chelsea) but like someone previously mentioned we had massive form & depth issues last season. I also think that Benitez was ill-suited to the EPL, and whilst his European displays were master****in tactical football... he did it with an inherited squad. Fluke? No. Fortune favoured? Possible.

Joe Cole has had some injury problems, but, assuming he can move past that we've secured a top drawer midfielder. The kid can and will score goals, he'll set Torres free, and he'll give Gerrard the freedom to roam in his favoured central position.

What we lack is a forward. Ngog filling in for Torres? No.

The Yanks are holding the purse strings too tightly, and don't realise that football is a huge gamble. Very rarely do you have a coach who can take the title without spending the dollars. They either need a huge scouting network (Wenger), or a lot of money to gamble on players with (Ferguson - Veron, Djemba Djemba, etc). Hodgson is a great coach. I expect great things from him, but not in the short term. I'm just happy to be rid of the Spaniard who lacked vision in his signings, and was too rigid in his approach (and ignorant). And yeah, Torres is a quality player, but all of us could have tipped him for glory. :) Those who play Football Manager, anyway. :)

I think Man Utd will take the title (unfortunately) - J. Hernandez looks like a quality striker.
