This is System Wars, not Fanboy Wars. It is against the rules here to discuss what fanboy group is worse and it has nothing to do with System Wars.

The fact that the game was developed by Sumo Digital and not Sonic Team is perhaps the reason why it is received well.

I was actually surprised it scored well, as I predicted it would score in the 6.0-7.0 range.

Something I noticed about the Wii's success is an undercurrent of sexism among the "core" gamers as if they see gaming as "he-man" club and resent the number of females into their exclusive hobby. I really do not see why gaming must be only for young males, as it was never the intention, and by broadening the demographics, gaming will gain some sort of respectability and remove many of the negative stereotypes it traditionally has.

Gaming is naturally intended for a broad audience and serves an entertaining purpose, never artificially for a exclusivist few, nor it is lifestyle (i.e. hobby).

I had to wonder why fanboys like to put so much emphasis on games that received a certain score released on a console but never have the care playing them. Instead of being concerned on how many AA's, AAA's a system has, people should be concerned whether the games are actually fun to play, just because a certain game received AAA does not mean that I (or anyone else) will be interested in it nor enjoy it. Personal tastes and preferences take precedence over a subjective letter ranking.
