used to once a year or 2, mine is now over 2 yrs since i last had to. have had a few bsod's lately and it never shuts down without a bsod so i have to shut off the power manually. really rather not reformat. how often is needed if at all?

why pay 250 extra? dvr can record shows, that's all i'm trying to get, what else can tivo do that i would want/need? don't know much about it.

also - how far do i need to start recording shows? can i tell my time warner cable dvr to always record a certain show or just an individual one?

what about for hbo movies? how far down the road can i see? 1 week, 1 month?

i have time warner cable, and i don't want tivo - way to expensive tivo is 13 a month and like 500 for the device. i think dvr is about 10 a month, just looking for some answers from people who have it

1. how much is it a month? like $10 a month? (already have time warner cable with hbo and high def)

2. when you record shows, do you have to only have the cable box on? or do you need the tv on?

3. can you set several tv shows or movies to record at the same time from different channels?

4. how many shows/movies can you hold on the dvr harddrive?

yeah but 4 maps for 12 bucks increases the multiplayer total maps by 50% for 20% of the price of the full game. 4 maps, $12. a bit pricey, but i'm kinda leaning towards doing it. i only have about 32 hrs into online and have beaten single player twice, which only takes about 5 hrs each time. there's no games coming out on ps3 for a long time, i buy most of my games on 360, so i'd love to get more out of killzone 2.

Question 1: with that said, are there definitely a good amount of servers to where if i filter for the dlc 1 pack or 2 pack, i'll find a dozen servers or so?

Question 2: when you filter servers, do you have the option to pick the individual map or to pick a dlc 1 pack or 2 pack? how does this work when finding servers to play the new maps??

vids make me want to buy it, demo and forums changed my mind

anyone remember joint operations on pc? it was about 5 yrs ago - it's what got me into gaming, made by same people that did delta force games. great game, 125 player servers and huge levels where you took helicopters and cars and bikes everywhere to bases. prob the best game ever until the community died. i feel like this game could potentially be a lot like it. what do you guys think about this game? it's coming out during a hard quarter with halo, cod, bioschock, splinter cell, etc.

i've been thinking about getting this game, i dunno. game looked great, old one was great, demo was horrible, and i hear as many goods as bads, which is why i haven't picked it up yet

it would be 12 bucks for both, for 4 maps, aka 3 bucks a map...seems a bit pricy, are they a lot better than the 8 maps the game came with? do a lot of servers play the new maps?
