@tiggytog Sadly I wasn't that fortunate. I always put it in very carefully, but my ex just lay down the dock with the Switch in it, quite roughly. He even stepped on both on them and just never cared to be careful to it, but dare I ever touched his PS4. So yeah, there the mistrust and the scratches came from :/ I'm still pissed at him for being such a douche.

@tiggytog So basically the console can stand a drop from 1000 feet without a single scratch, but gets scratches all over the place by the freaking stand it's supposed to go in. Wat.

@nanashi_fox: Yeah, although personally I woulda just straight up let them play it, watching someone else play the newest game console is pretty cool.

To be fair, I've considered playing at least Mario Kart with some of the people but... I kinda always mistrust other people when it comes to my stuff, especially when it's children. They always find a way to destroy something. And well, they weren't disliking just watching me, so there's that. I'm glad they haven't asked, I wouldn't have known what to say, haha.

Well, it wasn't too interesting for me, but kinda cute nonetheless.

For a year I had to travel a lot due to work. So I got two 4+ hour trips a week. I'm really glad the Switch was already out when this whole ordeal started, haha. So, well.. I kinda got this weird habit to disassemble the Switch, get the kickstand out and just put it on the table in front of my seat and playing it while cozily having the two joycons in my hand. Well, due to this habbit, very often on those trips either children or even (young) adults came up to me and asked if I minded them to watch. Most of the time it was only one person to watch me, but at one ride in particular there was a school class in the train with me and a lot of them were just standing next to my seat and watching me.

I kinda felt bad for the ones further back in the line, since the display of the Switch is so small. But it was still extremely adorable, especially when they started cheering on me while I was fighting bosses in BoTW. Those little moments really made my travel time feel much shorter than it actually was.

I favor mainly SP games, but I also don't mind MP games with the option to play alone - or the other way round. Actually my favourites still are SP games with the option to coop online.

Still went for the pure SP answer in the poll, even though the poll itself is extremely weirdly written - It doesn't represent my opinion at all. What about being okay with both?

To be fair, I don't hate anime, I don't dislike it, but I don't like it anymore as well. It's just more or less neutral to me.

A few years ago I was obsessed with anime. I chose watching a series over reading the actual source material, either being it light novel or manga. Nowadays I'm actually more interested in manga since they are quick to read and more interesting and less annoying than an actual show. Plus; I really love the sidepanels of the authors themselves as well as their little sketchpages.

It's not the shows that have ruined it for me, or some of the tropes in them, it's just the community that destroyed it for me. Sadly the most vocal part of the anime fandom consists of elitists, annoying minors and creeps - especially towards women. I constantly got told that I'm "not a real anime fan" because I never cared to watch the popular series at the moment (back then those were Death Note, Higurashi, Elfen Lied and similar ones, I always teasingly called them "emo anime", since only a certain kind of people was really into them; edgy emo kiddies). Welp, sorry for liking more lighthearted shows I guess? And well, for the creeps; 25+ year old guys knew I was 12-16 back in the day and they still tried to hit on me in a very gross and sexual way.

I still occasionally watch a short series (12 episodes or less) once or twice a year, but due to work and other hobbies I just don't have the time for more. I can't focus on something that is over 50 episodes long, that's just way too long for me. And if I decide to watch something that long, I would rather watch a live action series instead. It just got more appeal to me nowadays.

Wouldn't surprise me if they leave out the game board from online MP, because rage quitting would probably be a big thing.

When coming to think of it, it makes sense. But instead of cutting it completely; Nintendo managed to let an AI play instead of a player in previous titles as well (wasn't it in Mario Kart? Not sure anymore tho), so that would be a good way to counter that problem.

And even if they don't want you to be able to play the game board mode with strangers, I would really like if we would get the option to play with friends online.

I would still hope for an inbuilt voice chat for friends, even though it's most likely not going to happen (and disastrous like the one for Splatoon 2). But well, we still got other options for that at least. I mean, hearing the reactions of other people is kinda the point of Mario Party, without hearing them it's just like playing with an AI with common sense.

As much as I've liked all of the 3D Mario games, I actually never enjoyed the 2D ones too much. Especially the New Super Mario series got pretty repetitive and boring to me after the first one for the DS. So only the 3D games have a replay value for me, especially Super Mario Sunshine.

So I would go for Zelda. I've enjoyed all of the games, no matter if 3D or 2D. They easily keep me busy for hours without even noticing. I often even catch myself playing them over and over again, just because they're so much fun. Almost all of them have a great replay value for me, especially Wind Waker, Minish Cap and Ocarina of Time (which are the three I like the most).

And even if I would have to choose between the two newest games of those two franchises, I would still go with Zelda. Super Mario Odyssey kept me busy for only about 30 hours and I've already collected about 2/3 of all the moons. So there is not too much to do anymore. But with Breath of the Wild I already got around 150 hours and still got a lot to do.

Thinking back, I was quite amazed by the PS1, but later didn't really care about it too much. I was only able to play games at a neighbour's house. I remember playing some Final Fantasy games as well as some Rayman games, but I wasn't able to finish most of them.

Some years ago I tried to play some PS1 games again since I got a used one for myself, but the plays aged really bad. Most of the ones I remember playing back then just feel so slow and boring to me now. And other games which were recommended to me feel as slow and chunky as well.

So yeah... It never left too much of an impact to me, that's why it was pretty hard to go back to a PS system again.

I just use Kaspersky, an Adblock and some common sense (as many others here as well). I keep Windows up to date as well - even though I actually hate it, because it always breaks my laptop to some degree.

Works for me for many years now and I've never had any major issues. Only once I had to newly set up my PC because it got extremely slow thanks to an infection.
