@b74kd3th @motopramaus Sure, you have to do that but is this actually a "bad" game or an "average" game. Destiny 6/10 suggests a bad game, i loved it. Alien Isolation 6/10, another bad game or just average. For me a game to get a 5/10 has to be broken and poorly developed, cheap etc. Driveclub just looks well, average so maybe a 7/10.......... People will have a lot of fun with this like Destiny.
I think his complaints are very far, just wondering if his scores are a little malicious..........
I'm not getting this game, absolutely loving Forza and this game does not look compelling at all but Kevin is giving out some very, very low scores at the moment. I think he needs a holiday, freshen up. Games that are probably average are being rated as "BAD" games.
Those looking at Driveclub should go deeper than this review, getting much better scores elsewhere, Kevin is being very harsh at the moment.
@hystavito @motopramaus @ChiefFreeman It is important, it means there is a bigger market for developers to tap into. If they fully support the PC community they can sell a bucket load. Ubisoft have done themselves no favours with Watch Dogs, AC Unity and Far Cry 3 which were all launched in a mess on PC.
Shadow of Mordor is absolute perfection on PC, EA are going to earn supporters.
@ChiefFreeman That's not true, the revenue from PC gaming is more than all consoles combined, this gen and last gen. Why you see games like MGS coming to PC now, biggest market.
PC is going from strength to strength. Hence why Valve are looking to cash in on it.
@hansbeej @ziseknsa It's what Ubisoft do, look at the PC version of Watch Dogs, completely stripped back from the original demo to fit in with the lower than expected specs of the X1 and PS4.
If you look at games that are 1080p on PS4 none of them are as demanding as this, i can't see this hitting 1080p on PS4 anyway. Infamous was a very empty city, unstable framerate (which is why they tried to lock it with the patch) and no anti-aliasing. Still really enjoyed it but it was obvious sacrifices were made to hit 1080p. Could have been a much better game at 900p with more going on, anti aliasing etc.
Killzone framerate wasn't good enough that would have been fantastic at 900p/60fps with a little extra AA.
Sunset Overdrive made the right choice to go 900p and have really full on gameplay, lots going on. Would have been a mistake to hit 1080p clear out the city.
1080p is hurting PS4 exclusive more than anything else, Sony are using it as a marketing tool and pushing their own developers to make sacrifices to hit it. MS are just doing 1080p when they can but not making it a "rule".
@anewellz01 Same here, the game looks incredibly clean and textures really pop on my PC. It's the video compression, brings everything down to the same level.
@Terminator95 @overlord_hh Yes i guess Planetside 2, War Frame and Elder Scroll online all came to console first............... :)
Seriously though, PC currently has more revenue from games than all consoles combined (last gen and this gen), it's the leading platform. Only GTA V has had the long delay, but then again it's getting the next gen version so that's understandable.
