@Terminator95 @Guimengo1

"And you have to upgrade every time a NEW game comes out so your PC can run it."

What ???

If you built a PC now that could play games at the same settings as both consoles (gamespot showed in a recent article $500 PC's do slightly better than the X1 and PS4) then you can run these games on the same settings as console for their entire life cycle.

The great thing about PC's is you have a choice, if you're happy with console quality graphics then don't upgrade, just enjoy the pleasures of free online play and cheaper games. But if you do want to stay cutting edge (or somewhere in the middle) you have that choice as well.

It's PC, you do whatever you like.

@leakingdogmilk @BlazeKingz I think you're missing his point, this definitive edition is coming to PC as well and it doesn't look any different.

@GSGuy321 I don't think it was to please corporate. I think it was trying to appeal to too many people. They just oversimplified the game to not turn people off but in the process annoyed hardcore MMO fans.

I play all the big MMO's so i felt left wanting from an RPG point of view but enjoyed it as an action game. Get's a 8/10 from me, better looting system, trading system and higher level cap i could have given it a 9.5/10 because the foundation is so good (gameplay mechanics, audio, music, graphics).

Anyway bungie can easily build on this and turn it into something great. The next expansion needs to take the level cap to 45-50, can't just add another 10 levels if they want to earn trust and loyal amongst players and turn this into a 10 year adventure.

@keithlemon @motopramaus That's all MMO's, every single one of them on the market.

But if you pace yourself the games feel fresh.

@keithlemon @motopramaus MMO's have a repetitive mission system, all of them. My first MMO i was cool with it, but then as you do it over and over again it feels like a grind. If you play it for hours on end, "kill and fetch" it feels like a grind, if you pace yourself it keeps it fresh.

Destiny is a game to take in, it's beautiful, big and has a great atmosphere. It's to be savoured not rushed through.

@keithlemon @motopramaus It absolutely does, it's not designed to play in one sitting.

If i played any MMO that much it would feel like a grind, because the mission are generally very, very similar. If you break it up and pace it properly (like normal people) the game stays fresh.

@Whiskey3romeo @motopramaus Sure i'm not denying destiny is short and the land are varied, not doubt about it. But i was referring to this comment by you

""Leveling up consists entirely of repeating the same bland and generic missions dozens of times over"

That is the same with every MMO, it's kill a bunch of dudes, collect dropped loot from them, click on a box, tree or corpse and cash in the mission. All MMO's do this, just started play Wildstar before Destiny, same stuff again.

Destiny is big, it's just not varied enough, my feeling is they thought it would be a smart decision to hold back on content to charge later for expansions (i bet they're already built and ready to go). I think they left to much content out of the game and it might come back to bite them. But that makes the game an 8/10, not a 6 because it's still good value for $60US, considering COD is the same price for 6 hours of repetitive gameplay.

Best thing is i have had a blast with my brother, really fun with friends and family.
