Well said. The fighting game genre still throws players to the wolves with only the most basic of information. It takes months to even realize WHY the combo tutorials in SF4 are useful, and it takes online research on how links/cancels/supers vs. ultras work before it actually "clicks". MvC3 gives you some individual character combos, but leaves it to you to figure out how teams work together. Blazblue has taken a step in the right direction as far as tutorials (though they could use more interactivity and less reading), and it looks like Skullgirls will take it the next step. I hope Capcom will someday follow suit, but I'm not holding my breath - they can be pretty stubborn about doing things their own way. Septua makes a good point that the skill level matchmaking needs some serious work. In Street fighter, you can get automatically matched against 800 players after 1 match - and and 800 player can be quite experienced to a total noob. Selecting your character pre-match and matching based on individual character skill would be great, too - I can smear a 1400 player with my Chun, but when I want to learn a new character, I shouldn't be auto-matched as if I were playing my strongest char. This has led to me intentionally lowering my overall rating when I want to learn a new character, so I just don't get demolished when I'm trying to figure out how the heck C. Viper's mixups work.

can someone tell me if the variety of spells, ranged, and melee weapons showcased in video 2 is really a feasible build for one character? Can you really build such well-rounded characters in Elder scrolls games? One of my problems with this series has been that I've always assumed that you basically had to go magic or melee, that your character had to adhere to one the oldschool mage/warrior/archer archetypes. If you can really build a spellcaster handy with a sword AND a bow like this, count me in.

Impressed with graphics if these videos are Xbox... thoroughly impressed if they're ps3... unimpressed if they are pc. Gamespot really needs to specify which platform they're showing with multiplatform games. Though perhaps it's xbox because that's what the tab says? **Edit** okay further along in the first vid I noted some "A" and "B" button prompts, so we'll assume it's 360. So color me impressed. Also, many kudos for not only showing the pc version in demos, as some devs do that to mislead people into thinking console graphics are better than they are. Of course, if they were merely using a 360 controller on pc to give the appearance of console play, then it would be quite evil in the opposite direction :-)
