Me having 480 hours as of today = I love it. I play competitively, but love virtually everything about the game (except for tripping and the lackluster online).

Final Fantasy 12: RW is a RTS. It's a bit different than Starcraft obviously, but give it a shot.

Snake is beatable when you're used to fighting him (though he is tough, for sure). Against Metaknight, you really just have to be able to predict what your opponent is going to do, get used to fighting top metaknights, and don't leave yourself open. But he IS the best character in the game, so there's no guaranteed metaknight-killer plan. So basically just get used to fighting people that are skilled with those 2 characters and look for patterns and tendencies in their movements.

And whoever said Ike was cheap... -_-

Sometimes basic brawl takes forever (or doesn't work at all), and sometimes I find opponents in less than 10 seconds. Weird.

That's why when I play online I play people from my Brawl clan or my friends.

I own and love both, so here's the deal.

If you have friends with Metroid and can play with them every so often, Metroid is definitely worth the money. Random online sucks now, unfortunately, due to hackers. Local play and online with friends is fantastic, and single player, while nothing special, is passable.

Advance Wars is great as well and will last you forever.

I'm gonna say Advance Wars, even though I love Metroid as well. If you have money for both, get both.

Brawl isn't balanced. :? In basic level play one might say that, but in advanced play (if you can even cal it that) characters like Captain Falcon and Yoshi stand no chance against Snake or Meta. Captain Falcon, for instance, has next to ZERO priority against the rest of the cast - a jab or fireball or any weak attack can stop a number of his moves. This type of thing isn't really looked at in basic play, but advanced players know these things and can use them to their advantage. Melee - believe it or not - is the most balanced of the three Smash games in my opinion. Falcon in Brawl is worse than Pichu in Melee.ZumaJones07

Doesn't make the entire game unbalanced- that just means some characters are better than others, which is true in virtually every fighting game. The gaps between the characters were bigger in Melee, imo. Just look at Fox, Marth, Shiek, Falco, etc. versus the bottom people. Now that combos are essentially gone, low tier characters actually stand more of a chance because of the greater ease of escaping attacks and (imo) a greater focus on mindgames. Besides, now there are many more characters that can win tournies. Sure, we probably won't ever see Ganondorf do anything. However, there are probably well over 20 other characters that can.

Edit: Everything you said about Strikers can be countered, including the insta-goal after someone scores.

And I agree with osan0's post.

Mario Kart: Too much reliance on luck with items, so agreed. Shame there wasn't an option to turn off certain items for at least friend matches.

Brawl: Metaknight and Snake are probably the 2 best characters at this point, but they're not unbeatable. Whoever said Ike and DK are overpowered doesn't know much about Brawl >.>

Metroid: As long as you don't hack/abuse glitches or play on Oubliette, it's balanced. I've been out of the loop for a while, however, so maybe there was some game breaking technique found I don't know about? But in that case, it would have been banned anyway (much like the SF+IMP combo).

MSC: There's nothing in the game that can't be countered, including lobs and dekes. Some characters are better than others, but that's what happens in virtually every game of the nature.

Btw, I used to play MPH and Strikers competitively and I now play Brawl competitively.
