@vault-boy I understand your point of view really, but i'm sure there are much more effective ways for the devs to take advantage of the used games market without screwing retailers and gamers. For example I liked Homefront's approach of charging a small fee to unlock multiplayer if your game is used.

I for one am an impulse shopper, i just walk into a store and buy a random game, sometimes i pick a good game and sometimes i don't, i wouldn't like paying full price for a bad game that i'll be stuck with forever. When I DO find a good game I go back and buy a new copy of it.

My point is blocking used games completely is the easy solution for these devs, but they're hurting gamers and retailers because they'd rather not compromise a bit or look for a solution that will please all sides.

i'm saying it now, if consoles block used games then i guess i'll be sticking with hand held games from now on. i'm not gonna encourage greedy companies that care nothing about gamers. if we do encourage them then eventually we'll be seeing bad quality games for high prices

lets not forget the inevitable formation of aggressive cults by long time TES fans against the newer players

well if they provide an itunes like software where gamers can back up their games and saves to a computer and and swap them around on the memory card when its full then it might be worth it. but knowing their fears of piracy and the like that probably won't happen... at the moment deleting and re-downloading your game interchangeably to manage space on a tiny memory card might not be the most convenient thing for all gamers

lol first Sony with the PSP Go and then this. c'mon i'd rather pay just a little extra and buy a proper console. i'll stick with the older iterations or gaming on my phone if i have to. can't wait to see the price for the PSP2 when it comes out, its probably gonna be more expensive than the PS3

@MEDzZ3RO the chances are that by the time its price drops there will be like 3 newer iterations of the DS which will make the 3DS outdated and I doubt most people would want to buy an outdated device vs the latest. that being said, i'm not one of those people. i never owned a DS before but i'd have no problem going and buying the DS lite or even the original DS.
