[QUOTE="thegerg"]The limitations of that weapon are the ballistics of the .40 round. The rifle is certainly more accurate than a pistol of the same caliber, but the round is simply not designed to be as accurate as a rifle round.thegerg

Well that depends on the distance of the target. With iron sights at 50 yards there is virtually no difference in accuracy. However, the .40, due to it's mass, would have greater stopping power than a .223.

Of course accuracy at 50 yards would be similar, but your previous claim was that it was as accurate as an AR, which is simply noy the case. Failure to include the "at 50 yards" qualification changes your statement a lot.

What type of qualifications out of the box would you like to put on a contest between the two rifles?

Can you fire that when its folded. It wouldn't be that accurate, but a bit cool. What have I bought? um, a little netbook a month ago. All I can spend money on is gas and bills now, I need to try and make it through the winter with ~$1200.taylor888

I have not tried to fire it while closed. I don't think it would work as the trigger guard is part of the folding mecahnism.

my rubber band gun is as accurate as an AR at 1 yard!

I need to see the ballistics report on this. Until then, I will remain skeptical. :P

Sure, but no optics. ;)

Interesting buy TC. Never seen one like that, although the construction looks a little shoddy due to the plastic-ness (I always hated the plastic look).Saturos3091

The polymer construction makes the gun lighter and less expensive. There are upgrades available such as a quadrail forearm and reinforced buttstock. My overall investment in the gun is only $450 which includes mags (three 31 round & one 10 round) and case.

[QUOTE="thegerg"] The magazine feeds into the magazine well in the pistol grip. Also, it looks plasticy because it is cheap and plasticythegerg

Yes. It's a carbine rifle than folds in half. The magazine feeds into the pistol grip like a normal hand gun. It is cheap and and light due to the abundance of polymer in the construction. However, it fires well and is as reliable as a Glock with the accuracy of an AR-15. Oh yeah, it also fits in a backpack or laptop case. Also, just because I consider this a toy, does mean I treat it with any less respect than it deserves. I use the term with the same application as a boat or any recreational vehicle. If you lose respect for things that are dangerous, then you are inviting that danger to harm or kill. Seriously though, you need to chill out.

nice gun, but a compact pistol is better overall then that.punkpunker

It depends on the situation. I have a compact pistol for concealed carry. This weapon is basically an assault carbine that fits into a much smaller package while still giving the advantage of higher accuracy and greater stopping power. The 16.5" barrell actually increases the FPS of muzzle velocity and lb/ft energy.

It looks nice. I've never seen it before (In my experience of playing video games of course). Don't worry about all the people discouraging you from having fun with it. I'm guessing the recoil is non-existant? I've only fired my 45 revolver and not any other guns.Pvt_r3d

I'm not discouraged. I have plenty of guns, knives, swords, etc. I know how to handle and operate weapons as I've been doing it for most of my life. The recoil is minimal at best. The stock absorbs a lot of the pressure. There is almost no climb from rapid fire and it's fairly easy to keep rounds on target downrange.

lol, by toy he means something neat you get excited to have. I also love getting new guns, have I ever killed anyone with them? No.

I enjoy my guns too, but treating them as toys can be very dangerous.

 Your definition of toy and my definition of toy are very different. :|

They are adult toys. >_> you can enjoy just this as much as you would with your toy firetruck.

I thought adult toys were more plastic'y and fit in various places on the human body...

Are you saying there isn't a place for this to go on the human body? :P
