My wife and I throw a big costume party every Halloween for all of our friends. We start planning our costumes on November 1st and work on them throughout the year. This Halloween I will be going as a 1930s bootlegger and my wife will be a socialite/flapper. Each piece of our getup is antique or a quality reproduction. It's the only observable holiday without limitation or family involvement for us.

[QUOTE="thegerg"] I have said nothing about a scope. I am simply asking you to support your claim that this weapon is as accurate as an AR.thegerg

I doubt you could hit a target at 300m without a scope regardless of the weapon.

Why do you doubt that? I can hit 300m targets all day with iron sights on an M-4 and have been on 500m ranges with an iron sighted M-16, and my skills are really nothing specisal.

I have given you no reason to doubt my capabilities with a weapon. Why have you made assumptions about what targets I can or can not hit?

Well then those must have been substantially large targets. I shoot at a 12" diameter target most frequently.

never shot a gun dont really see the point. wouldnt you rather just shoot people with paintball guns instead of shooting that at a target? balls of paint must be cheaper then bullets lul might kill someone too

akdiuuuryttt

I do paintball and airsoft as well. Inexperienced firearm operators usually have a higher propensity for injuring others. Yes, paintballs are cheaper than bullets, however, paintballs will not stop an armed intruder as effectively as bullets will.

[QUOTE="thegerg"] I'd like to see proof that this weapon is as accurate as an AR, which is why I suggested we see some 300 meter groups.thegerg

And that has more to do with a zeroed scope than the function of the weapon out of the box.

[QUOTE="luamhtrad"]

[QUOTE="thegerg"] Of course accuracy at 50 yards would be similar, but your previous claim was that it was as accurate as an AR, which is simply noy the case. Failure to include the "at 50 yards" qualification changes your statement a lot.thegerg

What type of qualifications out of the box would you like to put on a contest between the two rifles?

[QUOTE="Frame_Dragger"] If you're going for something with a faux barrel shroud, and a shoulder stock if you're firing a 9mm? :PFrame_Dragger

:| I don't understand your question...

Hrmmm... a barrel shroud is the bit you can grip around the barrel for added stability, and the shoulder stock is... what it is. Both are means to increase control and recoil management, but a 9mm offers negligable recoil... does that make more sense?

It's not so much about recoil management as it is about increasing accuracy. 9mm / .40 rifles have considerably more effective range than their pistol counterparts.

[QUOTE="On3ShotOneKill"] I want one in 9mm Glock. Are those as hard to find as the .40s?Frame_Dragger

The 9mm is easier to find. I always saw one or two at the gunshows.

[QUOTE="On3ShotOneKill"]Ergh, I SO want a Kel Tec Sub 2000 and now you have to rub it in my face. I hate you now. (Jk :P)On3ShotOneKill

They are notoriously hard to find in .40 because it's the newest configuration. It took me a couple months of hunting to find mine. The shop where I purchased it is over an hour away from my house. They had three total in .40 and five chambered in 9mm for Glock mags.
