Xbox One is a terrible system and its not even out yet. Online DRM, 24 check in, no used or lending games, and the Kinect watching you all the time. Not to mention the specs aren't as good as I would have expected. Huge disappointment. Now I'm just waiting to see whether PS4 is going to honeymoon with MS's customer shafting plan or whether they are going to just release a GAMING console with better specs and no restrictions and no cameras to track our data. If Sony is at all smart and ditches MS's horrible plan, they could basically takeover console gaming. For some reason, however, I don't think we're going to learn anything tonight.
2 years ago I went back to PC gaming because I have some money now and can afford to build a GAMING PC. Why would I build a gaming PC? Could it be because I like games? Oh, yes, that's why. I still like consoles. Or at least I used to. Apparently, consoles are now just TV/Facebook rammed into an ugly VCR with a camera that wants to read my every move once per 24 hours.
Can we talk about the lack of graphical improvement in the Xbox One (terrible name) and even the PS4 for that matter? Why are consoles no longer being made for gamers? Who are they targeting with all of this TV and social media shit? Why would any casual gamer or non gamer buy a console when they have smart phones, tablets etc for all the shit that they talked about for the Xbox One?
Way to fail, MS. And frankly, Im not sure that PS4 is a ton better, but at least their presentation wasn't a shitstorm like MS's was. This whole thing doesn't make me angry, it makes me depressed. I feel like gaming is dying because a bunch of idiot "edgy" executives in silicon valley think that life revolves around making "trendy" technology for a bunch of non-existent customers that run around texting "YOLO" to each other every day. No thanks MS, #dealwithit
They finally decided its time to listen to consumers! That's a good step forward for them. This is good news, and I hope to see EA do more to turn around their terrible image and business practices.
@HIT3kNology Nope. I didn't get Diablo 3 or Sim City because of how they were set up. I'm against online DRM so I don't buy products that support it. I love my X360, but if the X720 has online DRM I won't be buying that either and they can #dealwithit.
