@XxTheEvilxX Umm they might actually be that dumb. Despite the hurricane of hate that started with Adam Oreth, MS just pushed on with their moronic plan. Even when they caved in, they were like little kids about it, "we still think digital is the future!" Obviously, MS thinks they live on untouchable badass mountain. I wouldn't be shocked at all if they double back. They're so arrogant that they're stupid.

@cjr1976 The sob story about developers is just that, a sob story. Developers get paid ahead of time, just like a film actor. If a game flops, they still made their money. It's the publishers that get hurt by poor sales. And its the publishers that pushed the "whoa is me" developer story which you obviously bought into.

@Kakashi_101 @ManjiKarasu @cjr1976 I'm a PC gamer and I buy almost all of my games on disc from a local store. Steam is only useful for games that are impossible to find. The more digital we go, the more property control we give away and ultimately that will hurt the consumer because we end up losing power.

As for trade-ins for console games, it's not just about them being sold used. A lot of NEW games get purchased BECAUSE people can trade games in. Most people can't afford to get every single $60 game. With trade-ins, they can supplement their lack of cash. You take trade-ins away and fewer new games will be sold.

I love the comment a "vocal group of core gamers". Who the hell do you think buys all of the games? Us. I would be shocked if the mom who bought a wii or kinect for motion controls has more than three games. You can chase that consumer if you want, but they are not what will make you money.

I'll tell you what is crumbling the Gear of War 3 story line. Second worst ending of any trilogy in this console generation and you want to tell me about physical media crumbling. After that ending you should no longer be allowed to comment on anything game oriented.

@IndremaLover I don't see that many people defending MS right now. As a (former) Xbox fanboy myself, I can tell you that I'm not getting the Xbone and neither are most of my friends. Brand loyalty only goes so far unless you're a fanatic.
