How about this:Good games sell.Make them and they will make money.

These guys see something make money and they beat the horse to death and over saturate the market.Yes, we may like a few zombie games but we don’t need every game to have some kind of incarnation of zombies. If you make it fun werewolves and vampires will sell too.

Actually I do dispute the link between violent video games and increased aggression.Let’s be honest, when they refer to “gamer” they are referring to males and not females.Adolescent boys are by nature aggressive. You can attempt to tame the aggression by subduing the child with nonaggressive activities, but it is in the child’s nature to be aggressive.Does playing football not increase aggression?I argue it does, it just presents an avenue to channel the aggression. The same with just about any other sport. The competitive nature in and of itself is aggressive.

If video games were then removed from the equation would the aggression then cease or would it then be channeled in another direction?Would the child play a sport or go out and bully another child in that period of time?It is up to the parent to find a positive outlet for the child’s aggression.I played sports, ran around outside with friends playing all sorts of games, and yes, played video games.

Aggression isn’t a negative, as you state, but rather it is how that aggression is manifest.

Exactly, they are excepting an excuse and finding something to point a finger at, instead of saying this kid probably had crappy parents.Because crappy parents hate to think that their bad parenting could have this kind of result.

The thing is people are always looking for something/someone else to blame.“The devil made me do it.”No you did it because you wanted to do it.Now shut up and take responsibility for your own actions.

Has any of these genius’ that continue to investigate this supposed link stopped to think, maybe, just maybe, violent people are attracted to violent media?Maybe the media didn’t make them violent, but instead they sought out the violence.Did they also watch violent movies and listen to violent music, because, well, they simply were violent? If Charles Manson had committed his crimes 20 years later they’d be looking for the link between what he did and his playing GTA and COD.

I remember a time when games were considered a nerd hobby, and the jocks and cool kids were out being bullies and playing sports. Now all of a sudden gamers are the violent ones of society and the world should be in fear of the terrifying “deranged” gamer.I guaranty there is a much higher link between criminals and television. The percentage of people who have watched television and committed a crime is much higher than the percentage of criminals that play video games, but no sane person would consider that reason to ban television.Yet these idiots rant on about how to control video games…

I don’t think some of you get the company line here:

“If you buy used games then you aren’t a customer so we really don’t care about if your feelings are hurt.”

If you watched the Press Conference you’d see this is targeting the main stream anyway. If you are on here upset about this then you probably were a small part of the larger target that they are aiming at.They spent more time talking about TV and Kinect than they did about games.

I plan on getting a PS4, but from the look of this it sounds like they don’t have confidence in their new machine. If they felt like they’d have a huge launch then having a title like GT6 would have a good amount of sales to go along with that. Were the development cost that high for GT6 that they didn’t want to risk not making their money back on the product?

Personally I think they’d have been better off waiting a year and putting it out on PS4.With people buying the new consoles as well as GTA V I think sales of this game will take a hit unless it is going to release in July/August time-frame.If I’m choosing between Forza on Xone and GT6 on PS3 then I’m going Forza.

You seem to be really confused. Your logic is seriously flawed. “I think you should be fired for that quote.”

Once you make your employment public in any mass media/social forum that is available for the world to see, then you are responsible to use that in a way that doesn’t negatively impact your company. Had he sent a private email to a friend and that went public then we’d be having a different conversation. This guy basically told all Microsoft potential customers if they don’t like the product that is about to come out then the company doesn’t care. Yes, that is worth being fired over.

I don’t care if you work for McDonalds, you don’t go to a place that is filled with their customers and say we sell dog meat and if you don’t like it “DealWithIt”. You’d be fired the next day.
