Shenmue 1 & 2. They're clunky, slow and graphically outdated, but there's something about their characters having schedules and things to say, voice acted and not just through speech bubbles, who contribute to a feeling of coziness in the first, and a family sense amidst the crowd in a big city by the second, where danger was more welcoming than your homeland peers.

The first Day Us X (not Due Sex) should get a remake in the vein of Resident Evil for the Gamecube.

Do you think that smooth polygons and textured nuances, except those which drop the framerate to close the gap with the Xbox 360's early games, and with progressive scan as the standard to provide higher resolutions, look good in comparison to the current trend, as if the latter went through a lower budget?

I think that PS3 games will have aged badly due to bloom lighting, motion blur, sharp textures in stills and dull color palettes, except those already moving into the following generation, which look better in its consoles in anyway. However, I feel that after the Dreamcast, games began to look suddenly better, without taking merit from Sega's last console, because it pushed colorfulness and clarity.

Before they could be marketed like that, there were games using four dimensional number structures, such as quaternions, to describe rotations in space for 6DoF (six degrees of freedom) shooters, which were 3D in presentation and movement (Descent, Forsaken and Overload). The 4th dimension cannot be seen, but we can represent its points at unit length from the origin, and a volume to represent them. Below is the perfect example of a three dimensional section of a hyper sphere.

I wish I hadn't bought the Dreamcast as my first console and quit gaming altogether. Luckily, I was able to keep up on PC, although not in a competitive level.

I don't know what the purpose is to play games on max settings by spending a lot when you could look back on them later with more affordable technology. You're basically playing these games past a certain threshold, because the developers aren't pushing your machine, but optimizing them for consoles due to their set limit, so I use the latter as a benchmark for how games are supposed to look like, and try to get better performance at a similar price point. The Dreamcast was, for example, more powerful than what you could get on PC for the same price. SEGA's last console was, in fact, not surpassed by PC upon release. In terms of games, Metal Gear Solid looked better on the PS2 as a Playstation title than it did on PC, whose resolutions are so high that they didn't mask the low polygon count and texture detail.

I wish that this game had a more Saturn-esque approach to the Genesis graphics and gameplay of Streets of Rage 1-3 like Sonic Mania. The same scope, but with better performance, the same framework under CD music.
