@xenomorphalien: Been playing since launch and still loving it!!! This new patch especially brought in so much good stuff, I love the new armor and masks.
Good luck with the fortress defenses by the way! They have super upped the attacking captain count and it becomes a full-on siege now hahaha. I lost mine horribly after a gang of literally 10 captains rushed in and just wrecked the whole place including all of my captains, I wasn't even mad, the chaos was amazing.
@Fortysixter_UK: Yup! but only the big overhaul update which is free anyway, if you own the standard original its probably best just to buy the season pass at a discount as the definitive edition basically sounds like the Gold edition but under a different title and with, I'm assuming, this free update on disc.

(by the by, the progression changes are specifically towards things unrelated to the microtransactions, but you didn't play the game so you wouldn't know that, so your argument has no weight nor value ahem hinthint)
@Thanatos2k: Actually nah, you are not worth explaining anything to because you never played the game. The fact that you didn't mention the crap surrounding the training orders is proof enough. That patch note you keep referring to is clearly a PR statement by the way, to get people like you off your high horses for once about the game.
This is not a case of me defending my purchase rather than admitting the game's flaws, I just simply don't want to accept your blatant bullshit. The game has some big flaws, even after this patch, including a still really bad targeting system and repetitive gameplay. Also the 60 dollar price point for this edition is pretty greedy.
Just cut your crap because you clear as day don't know what you're talking about.

I'm not even going to bother arguing because its clear as day you never played the game and are just working from bullshit you heard and uninformed decisions you made regarding patch notes you have no actual context of.
And by the by, the things you could buy with microtransactions were tied to your level, so you couldn't even skip the grind or make the game go faster because there are level restrictions regardless. And the game's progression wasn't even that slow or artificially lengthened in the first place, but you wouldn't know that, because its more important to be edgy and negative than to be right.
That's a really good deal on Shadow of War's Gold edition, especially considering the update which removes microtransactions and overhauls the endgame is dropping today.
