@xboxplayer1: Microsoft funding this game doesn't even make sense. Capcom wasn't exactly in the best spot when Sony helped with SFV. GTV V alone is basically like an infinite money glitch; they do not need help on funding.

The headline is a bit misleading. It's technically true, but come on.

@ragnarocking: this is the exact reason why I hate this move, there's a lot of classic games that's can't be bought digitally even though the PS4 and PS5 can clearly handle it. My physical copy of Legends 2 stopped working, and I picked it up digitally for 9.99 versus the 70 plus it would have cost to hunt it down on disc

@N0madS0uL: What extra content are you expecting exactly? Most remasters don't add anything at all, hell what they're doing to the first game is more of a remake than a simple remasters and why would they use Unreal? You know this is EA and they have their own engine, right? Plus moving existing code, even when you're already changing it to a completely different engine altogether is a huge on taking especially when they have other projects they are working on like Dragon Age 4.

I'm glad they're making changes to the first, it's definitely the one that's the roughest to go back and play.

@CyberEarth: I mean to play devil's advocate, it is kind of different. It does take time and effort to doma customer job like this. That being said, I'm far more suspicious about some random company doing this when a known entity like Colorware doesn't seem to have any PS5's at all. I wouldn't trust this at all.

@currere: You know what, I think you might be spot on. They would basically have to account for a PS5 mode and a PS4 back compat mode for VR, which probably isn't realistic.

I only hope we get decent beard options.

@bdrtfm: The Spiderman clip is a good example of why that's not possible on a current gen console, each time he shifts into a different dimension, there's new textures and geometry that loads instantly with zero pop in. If that was done one current gen it would be either a cutscene, a stuttery mess or constantly loading. Once again, you seem to have a fundamental misunderstanding of what exactly is happening and why the SSD tech in next gen makes that possible. Just because you don't get to stop and explore before going into the next portal doesn't mean a hard drive can keep up.
