But it's all a matter of opinion, and in mine. It's not a sport. If it is in yours, that's fine.
It's not opinion, it is a sport. Just because you don't know how tough it is, does not disqualify it.
I know what's it's about. I know it's harsh.
But it does come down to opinion in the end. I don't think it is. You do.
What else would you call that?
Like I said you just don't get it. It's not "just driving a car." You are getting your body thrashed and doing that competitively. Last time I checked that was the same as in the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, soccer, and tennis. Golf is it's own debate, but NASCAR is physical. Driving a car is just going to work, that's not what NASCAR is.
you should be beaten, tarred, and feathered for putting the NFL and nascar in the same category as far as toughness goes.
Why is that? Listen I love the NFL (look at my sig), but face it NASCAR is physical too. It may not have the same requirements, but it is physical and requires toughness. I honestly really sugest taking a physics course, because I think that's the only way you're going to understand car racing without actually doing it.
I've driven a car before at 100 without power steering. I used to work at an auto shop with a guy who's a big fat slob and was one of the most out of shape people you'll ever see. There's no doubt in my mind that nascar does not require physical skill
LOL this is way faster than just 100 mph, and you are not going in an oval against 30 other guys. Also you forget you're driving in a luxury car. NASCAR has you jump through the window into an extremely small cockpit containing nothing but a steering wheel. Add that discomfort to a centripetal force (there's a reason why the track's slope is so high), g forces, and extreme heat and maybe then you might get the picture.
Wut u dont even know what kind of car I was drivin goof. It actually was a stripped down car. A Chevy Nova that was built to race at the local speedway. And yeah they go faster than 100 mph but so what. Like the other guy said. They're just driving
[QUOTE="bobwill1"][QUOTE="fatzombiepigeon"]Masturbation requires work. Wouldn't it be awesome if that was a sport?fatzombiepigeonDo you compete against others while you do it? Hey we could set up big contests in stadiums and have athletes who work out hours evryday compete with eachother for the gold tissue box award. I enjoy post like this. They relax me

I've driven a car before at 100+ without power steering. I used to work at an auto shop with a guy who's a big fat slob and was one of the most out of shape people you'll ever see. There's no doubt in my mind that nascar does not require physical skill
Actually, as the definition page you posted specified that one of the definitions involves the requirement of a monetary reward being at stake, doesn't that rule out almost all professional team sports? I mean, do teams win any kind of prize for winning an NBA, MLB, NHL, or MLS game?bobwill1For the team I'm not sure. But each individual gets a lump sum for participating in a game. Well thats how it works for the NFL anyway.

[QUOTE="SouthernPride10"]ok..ill admit...I'm the one in the video...
dont believe me?..ill take pictures to prove it. First off ..I'm at Georgia Southern..hence the GSU hat..the reason why theres no views on the video is because I just uploaded it. I redid it b/c the "quick capture" made a horrible static noise that made everyones ears bleed..
No..there is no map in front of me..i was looking on my laptop screen to see if the video was recording right..the video camera is on top of my laptop.
Any questions?

neither nascar or that sissy horse racing fit the definition.
You did read the entire page, right? definition number 5 under noun gaming for money as in racing, hunting, fishing I hate to be picky but it does not specify which kind of racing. but like i said. there's not physical SKILL involved so it aint a sport
