[QUOTE="Canuck3000"][QUOTE="Renegade_Fury"]What makes it a sport?
Don't forget the high speeds and incredible g force. Maybe it would help if you guys took a physics course, because it is damn tough having to drive with so many gs against you. Also don't forget guys die in this sport people.

It's still just driving a car. The driver doesn't really do anything. He's not passing a puck, a ball. He's not working his ass off to get to net. He's just driving.
COMPETITIVELY! hey mods he typed in all caps. why dont you give him a violation too?
[QUOTE="kdizzle815"][QUOTE="bobwill1"][QUOTE="kdizzle815"][QUOTE="bobwill1"][QUOTE="Quack_Attack"][QUOTE="bobwill1"]So, is bicycle racing a sport?bobwill1Um, the bike is powered by the person. A car isn't. What about horse racing? I mean for hundreds of years it's been the sport of kings. That's a term that goes back way-way-way before you or even nascar were even a dream in someone's mind. LMFAO......yeah. And you see how popular horse racing is And, where did you bring up popularity as a requirement for being a sport? I didn't but what does horse racing have to do with this thread? Well, in horse racing the jockey is pretty much ballast, yet it's still considered a sport. I dont see how. The horse is doing the work. All he does is sit on a animals back and whip it. Seems alot like nascar

Is there something we haven't already clearly stated already? Have the... ten or so of us not been clear and articulated enough? It isn't "just driving" it's like trying to drive a rocket on wheels. It isn't a cozy little drive down a leafy street on a sunday afternoon. This is 200mph around 50 degree banked turned being an inch away from the car in front, behind, and beside you. In 112 degree heat... for five hours nonstop. :| No, you're right... it's just driving. You've finally come to ur senses

[QUOTE="kdizzle815"][QUOTE="Taxpaying_Acorn"][QUOTE="kdizzle815"]the definition of a sport.We aren't discussing whether its a sport or not. You were saying it wasn't physically demanding... and it obviously is. Definitions don't matter, anyway. Watching NASCAR is infinitely more entertaining than watching soccer or tennis :| Wrong. I was discussing whether or not it was a sport. But I did also say that it isn't physically demanding. Which it isn't. Like I said. Anybody can make left turns all day. Anybody
nascar does not fit
Renegade_Fury
Seriously, you're only kidding right? I find it very hard to believe anyone can be this ignorgant if they don't think NASCAR racing is physically demanding. :lol:
I find it hard to believe that someone is silly enuff to believe that pushing ur foot down on a gas pedal is demanding. Even if it is warm outside.
