@cashx002 @The_Kryptonian exactly. more hits on the website= good for business. most 14 year olds on here spewing their vitrolic nonsense probably don't get that though. they should just spend more time playing the game they are so passionate about instead of trolling forums.

wow. people sure get upset when someone doesn't give them what they expect in game review. i think games like this are shit. oh well, guess i won't be buying it. i have that right, because this is america. in a similar sense, if you don't like what gamespot says, you can always go to IGN, or any number of other sites. by coming here to spread your vitrol, you only boost gamespots overall hits, which are GREAT for a website. your whining is gamespots success. just like if i don't want to play GTAV because i have better things to do than pretend to go on a psychopathic crime spree, if you don't like the opnions of those writing for the site, go someplace else. gamespot owes you nothing.

@furrynic um, what did you want them to "deliver?" just shell out your cash and play until your hearts content, or not, it's always your choice in the end.

wow, lot of attention for this....really? being an old fart that was about 12 when the original duck tales came out, i played it, and liked it i guess, but i really don't see what all the fuss is about. back in the day, me and my friends would play the capcom disney games while we waited for the next mega man game to come out. i would see it like this: duck tails is better than the little mermaid and tailspin, but it has nothing on chip and dales rescue rangers. now that is a game i would buy a re-release.......wait a minute, i own the stupid thing for my NES, which is currently hooked up, methinks i will just go an play the damn thing instead of wasting my time on here....

@JoeGamer1234 @VBVCSHARP @armin0jrpg lol. 26, lets think about that, so hmmm. that would make you all of 1 YEAR OLD or so when FF1 came out. even if you waited until you could actually read to be able to play it, and add a couple of more years to understand it, that still takes you well into the 90ties. if you are 26 the LAST thing you should do is go around trying to brag about how "old school" you are. yer just a kid, son.

@---Cipher--- @---Cipher--- very good comment. This is the hard truth. as much as i am sure that all of these new games will be good in their own way, AAA development, which in many ways is what all this beefed up hardware is for, have become prohibitively expensive to make, which means that much of the choices around them are going to be exactly as you stated: made by the CEO's who want to keep the shareholders happy. in this way, it is no different than what holywood has become. remember the early 90ties, when people were taken aback by movies like T2, which cost over 100 million to make, and now 100 million is considered middle of the road. However, unlike holywood, which is still running on it's nearly 100 year history (although that crash has to be coming soon, too), video games as a mass consumer product only began in the 80ties. in order to get people in the seats, movie theaters have to "upgrade their hardware" with all kinds of gimmicks. you tell me what they are, cause i don't know anymore, as i have not been out to see a movie in a theater in years. Not because i dont like the expereince, but i just cannot afford it. I have loved video games for ages, but since the PS2 gen, and now the PS3 gen, and certainly with the PS4 gen (im not trying to be a fanboy here, i just happen to buy sony stuff, but have nothing against microsoft or nintendo), i have had to wait at least 3 years into the life cycle, when prices have dropped, and when enough games have come out that i can make a descion to buy. However, as you noted, as the AAA titles become more expensive to produce, there will be fewer of them. I like indy games, and stil activly play my nintendo, genesis, all all those older systems cause the games can still be fun. i feel like a bit of a dinosuar in some ways though and maybe i just don't get all the hoopla, cause i still have strong nostagia for finishing old megaman games, and when those credits rolled at the end, there would only be a dozen or so names, and yet the expereince was no less engaging. thanks for your comment!
