@pcps4xb: Yup. I loved State of Decay 1. But so many years later I was expecting a modern game, with the same basics. For example, you see lots of loot that is just decoration. Then you "search" an empty shelf and get loot.
This was ok years ago for a 15€ arcade game. Nowadays for double the price, you should see what you loot, not use the old fake decoration mechanic.
@onehitta323: I am not impressed with what I've seen of the game the last days. Still, comments like yours give me hope, since if it is "as bad" as the first one, it will be awesome.
@aiat_gamer: Then we agree to disagree. You are totally right about that. I like story games... for watching lets plays as if they were a movie.
For survival (or rpg) games, I want absolute freedom.
Im starting a new subnautica game, to see if it finally manages to hook me up and Ive read that there is a rocket or something that you build in subnautica for ending the game, and that bothers me. Still, Ill give it a try.
@aiat_gamer: I dont just like 7d2d. Survival games is one of my favourite genres, and 7d2d is the best survival game. By far. Unless you like those abundant survival games that only work in servers because they are focused on pvp like rust, ark and many similar ones
No idea what "aimless" means in a videogame.
I dont even know how to explain what is more fun... everything. Building bases that actually matter for example. I love building, but only if it matters, if Im going to get attacked and the base destroyed and I must manage to survive.
Just as an example, but everything is better. Granted Ive only played subnautica a few hours each time before getting bored, but Ive watched several lets plays, and the only thing that seems to get better is the story, which I dont really care much about.
