If they find out the prince of england watches gay porn, and all respectable news just talk about that for months, instead of continuing with daily news, "because its what the people want to see" (which would probably be true), they are still shit for doing that.
1. It's a bad game. Well, that's a hard statement for a game with so many players. let's say it's a game for non gamers. Like CoD, or fifa. And this comes from me, who was waiting for fortnite release for a looong time before the release. Until the normal PvE mode turned out to be a moneygrabber because you just needed to buy cards, and then even worse, it turned into yet another stupid battle royale. Instead of the building/survival game they promised.
2. 78 millions is way far off. That surely counts me just because I bought it even when it still wasnt free. I can assure you I am no fortnite player, and all my friends who tried it will surely also count in those 78 millions, while they dont play it either.
3. There are otehr crossplatform games. FFXIV comes to mind, but many others.
4. Even without all this, a game magazine shouldnt spam for months 1/4 of his frontpage news with only one game. Unless they get paid to exactly to do so, which I guess is the case, bc I see no other reason for the ridiculous spam.

Not a single day for months and months without 2, 3 or more news about fortnite on the main page.
Stop it already. Seriously, check your frontpage right now, it's totally crazy. This isnt a fortnite website, it's a friking website about games. Or it's supposed to be.
I am grateful for the option of clicking on PC in gamespot and not seeing lots of news about console games I dont care about.
Can we please get a NO FORTNITE option too please? OMFG, months and months and months of not a single day without 1-3 fortnite news on the friking site. Is gamespot beeing paid for promoting the game or what. Not ever have I seen one game with news every day for months, not even masterpiece games. And this crap game has been spamming the frikin frontpage for months.
Stop it already. Or make a button to ignore those news.
Man, I love survival games and I love Funcom... how could they waste such an opportunity.
Instead of making a cool survival game like 7 days to die, the forest, subnautica, or some others, they went the easy route, sandbox for guild pvp like ARK and rust.
You picked games which didnt turn up very good (except maybe watchdogs2 which was decent) and I would still pick any of those before GoW without thinking twice.
It's not just about length, altho length shows how much time you had fun with it so its a pretty good way to show how good it was. You can say you had more fun during those 25 hours than during the 300 hours of another game, but still, 300 vs 25 hours of fun...
But back on topic, it's not just the length of those games, it's the genre. Just moving forward following a path, or a few paths, and smashing buttons... I hate that genre. Every cool scene those games show are always QTEs. For example uncharted 4. Amazing game trailers, omg look how the car jumps over the enemy while it throws grenades and blablabla. If you give me a free way to kill the boss, and I can do that jump with the car because there is a ramp that uses physics to throw my car into the air and I have the options to throw my items from the car and so on. Than that scene would be amazing. But no, in this games it's just a scripted thing. That's absolutly crap. I can watch a movie then instead of playing a game.
