This game is excellent and I stopped picking up AC games after Black Flag, but have played the sequels as rentals or at a friend's.
Story is interesting, setting is excellent, graphics are superb. Some areas can feel deserted but remember you're travelling through deserts. Cities are varied and lively. Overall I was impressed.
RPG mechanics are a nice touch and the combat system grows on you once you get the hang of it. It's certainly more difficult than prior games when things get crowded, especially if you're at or below the necessary level.
A few glitches here and there and the game crashed on me a handful of times but that may have been caused by the need for driver updates on my rig. Since then, the game runs great maxed out on a GTX 980. Lowest FPS mid 30's but that is few and far between. Otherwise, 60 is relatively constant.
Definitely gets an 8.5+ in my mind and is the best AC game I've played in years.
@dreadborne: I'd be happier had I seen what was on the horizon and not another Skyrim.
Overall the show was pointless. Really enjoyed the Wolfenstein sequel bit at the end and the Evil Within 2 but let's not kid ourselves, people haven't waited 6 years for either of those games or anything else shown at Bethesdaland.
Me: How many f*cking times do I have to buy Skyrim before you give me ES6, Todd!?
Todd: We're bringing you something truly next-gen. Skyrim on your Hamilton Beach Toaster. See that toast on the inn's table right there? Pick it up, voila! *toaster toasts toast* The toast is actually real. You can eat that!
@xolivierx: The responses you'll get to your post are "that's what the other consoles are for"... it's f***ing stupid. God forbid you'd prefer a Nintendo console that you can play current gen third party titles on.
As it stands, the switch doesn't even have a Netflix app.
