Jordan, I love you man, but this article is littered with evidence of dysfunctional gaming habits and OCD tendencies. You’re demanding Microsoft make changes to gaming related achievements so you don’t feel forced to play games you don’t like, and insist they’re multiples of 5? I don’t mean this in a judgemental way, but people who have healthy gaming habits don’t play games they aren’t enjoying to get a specific numerical value for their gamer score. Nobody, literally nobody, cares about your gamer score.

I wouldn't consider myself a fan of motion control, but I was really impressed.

Respectfully disagree. If Xbox One had a plethora of excellent Kinect titles (They don't), it is still a peripheral that should be an optional purchase.

It's a a mandatory $100 premium for a motion sensing peripheral the core gaming community has little interest in...Get it? This isn't hate. This is a perfectly rationale argument. Name me other mandatory peripherals around $100

I want buy an Xbox One. My friends want to buy an Xbox One. We don't want to buy a Kinect. Why are we being forced to purchase one?

It's a peripheral damn it! Always has been and always will be. And it just so happens to be one I have no interest in purchasing or ever using no matter how "great" the deal is. Now Microsoft, would you please cut the bullshit and allow me to give you $400 for an Xbox One without Kinect? Christ!

Absolutely absurd! You'd repect them more if they all but banned used games, ruined the rental market, required a near constant Internet connection and Kinect, promoted region lock and corporate DRM? You're a fool!

Hey Danny, huge fan of yours and I'm aware you read the comments on your videos and often respond. Could you clarify what the premise or theme of "The Point"? Like, what's the point of The Point?

Keep up the great work. I actually posed a similar question in a blog I wrote on this website years ago when I noticed I wasn't having "fun" playing games anymore. I think why people within the core gaming community like myself are willing to invest thousands of hours over a lifetime and immerse ourselves in these fictional worlds is an interesting, probing, and pertinent question. When I finally answered the question for myself, I took a giant step back from gaming, because I realized a large portion of my time spent playing was to obtain a sense of achievement and competition I desired. I now almost exclusively play socially with occasional moments of "relapse." I'm sure the upcoming release of Grand Theft Auto V will test me.
