I love what they're trying to do with this, but Christ... I can't be the only one thinking $30 is really steep for an alpha build. Lower the initial price to provide some momentum to the community hype machine and give early investors the feeling they're being rewarded for having some faith in DayZ's obvious potential.
The recent trend to flash sales seems to suggest some flexibility in pricing doesn't do much harm to overall profit, and I imagine the devs' coffers are starting to feel a bit light by now.
