I'll take a stab at the second question, being Taijiquan recommended a good reciever for your price (although you would need speakers as well). 5.1 sound is a big difference from standard television speakers. It immerses you more into the game and brings the game more to life. If you have the ability and money I would surely recommend a sound system. Try to go with a 7.1 sound system that supports TrueDolby HD 7.1 and DTS.....more movies are encoded that way on blue ray and it will be a better investment if and when they start applying the technology to games.

First try resetting the HDMI on the PS3, back to AV then back to HDMI. If that doesn't work try using another HDMI cable. If there are no signs there, do you have any other perpherails plugged in HDMI? Do you have any other problems with the items? (If so it can be your HDMI port on the television) Just a few suggestions to try.

From what I know about this game, is that there is an external piece that plugs into the GBA slot of the DS and then you use the screen to strum. I saw a picture of it in a gamestop ad magazine. It does look interesting and I guess if you have a craving for GH and it's no where to be found you can always pull out your DS and start rocking ;P

Although that trick may work with some XB360s, it is only a temporary fix. You still might want to consider shipping out back to Microsoft, otherwise you risk of getting those pesky red-rings again! :(

I think Final Fantasy VII would be great if they remade it but I think other Final Fantasies have potential too. I loved FFII (American) and also FFVIII. Those were two of my favorite FF. OH AND DONT FORGET FF: MYSTIC QUEST (LOL KIDDING LOL KIDDING)

Maybe it is one of those special prizes, like you get in the cereal boxes! Or even better, maybe it is a special item that you need to use in the game lol :P

Why would it harm it? Surge protectors are designed to protect electronics from short bursts of electricity that can damage. Plug your PS3 into a surge protecter and let yourself feel more relaxed!!!

Congratulations on getting a psp. I hope that you find that there are a lot of fun games on the system. I had to recently shed some pounds, and traded in my fat psp for the slimline. With the new model, I feel like my psp has been on Jenny Craig! So much lighter :P I love it!

I can't say i had a problem with any blu-ray movies that I have. I have even rented them from netfix without any problems. It might just be the disks that you have, because you did say your other disk played fine. The only problem I have noticed with the drive is that it is sesitive when it tries to read DVD movies. I had to wipe a couple of them down before my ps3 could recognize it.
