I agree that graphics aren't everything, and I realize Reggie is confident in their lineup. The problem is that most gamers aren't, casual gamers almost certainly don't care, and there's no single game that seems big enough to be a system seller. People are getting pissed because it implies that there won't be a huge game coming up if he's comfortable with what he has. And he shouldn't be shitting in his nest because the Wii U is not in a comfortable position.

It's mainly that the Wii U doesn't provide any new experiences that are revolutionary, and they aren't putting out amazing visuals. Visuals increase immersion, that doesn't mean you need next-gen visuals, but they need to give us something that doesn't really exist in the PS4 and Xbox One. Reggie is almost making it worse by acting cocky, because it suggests that Nintendo won't change their strategy, which is irritating. Meanwhile, next gen will use second screen anyway, so where's the experience? Besides, a lack of high quality visuals can really hinder games on the Wii U later on. So, maybe he is right, but everyone's complaining because he's dissing other's consoles and not adding any value to the Wii U.

Casey Hudson is not on the Dragon Age team, only the Mass Effect. And Bioware does read their forums, at least some of them, because they'll often appear in topics to provide extra information. Don't know if that will make it good, but it helps.

@SoulxReaperx366 But we're not THAT close to that reality. The Oculus Rift is a step in that direction, by having the viewscreen be able to fool our minds. And it might be that's as far as we get, since sending electrical signals directly to a person's brain could be quite dangerous, and besides, while it might be feasible that we could create a reality indistinguishable from our own, humans likely won't do it. For many, that sort of step could be terrifying, especially once you can't tell the difference. The psychological ramifications could be astounding, and that technology can be easily abused. We might see technology be made that can quite literally send signals to your brain and feed false sensory data, but I doubt it'll be made public, if only because of the implications of "The Veldt."

@demondogx @jedi2357 So he says some stuff that's divisive, and controversial, and then people start to harass him. But while he would say one off-hand comment, he would get back hundreds harassing him. Look, we all know that Fish is not a good guy. He's a prick, and he insults everyone. But do you really think that he deserves the non-stop attacks that he got over Twitter? Fine if you do, I just don't agree that Fish deserves to be driven out by trolls and deprive us all of FEZ 2.

@demondogx So because he has a big ego and said some things that offended some people, he deserves everything he's gotten. He apparently deserves being driven out of the industry by derisive comments from a journalist, and then by the onslaught of Tweets that followed thereafter, some of which even accused him of assaulting his ex-girlfriend. Is that how it's supposed to go?

@Tseng @Raeldor A lot of the problem is that he's being attacked ad hominem, something most of us don't go through on a weekly basis. I don't think you can tell anyone to be thick-skinned when they're being harassed constantly.
